Bruce sighed and eased himself onto the bed beside her, careful not to move it too much, afraid of hurting her more then she was already hurt. He gently put an arm around her and kissed her fore head. He just wanted to make sure she was okay. He put his lips to her head and breathed in the scent of her hair, it was slightly dirty but he didn't care. It smelled like her. He smiled and murmured, "Nothing Hel has ever said to you has been true..." Unaware that Hel wasn't the complete liar that he thought she was. Unaware that lying wasn't really Hel's job, but Loki's.

[Hailey Heart]

She winced as he climbed into the bed, but she didn't care. She wrapped her arms around him, keeping him close, she winced as her chest pressed against his, but again she didn't care. She laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, breathing in. "I believe you." She closed her eyes, keeping her arms around his waist.

His eyes looked down at her, catching hers. He didn't say anything, just gave a small smile. He rested his head against hers and held her close to him, not wanting to let her go. He didnt know what Hel had told Hailey and was suddenly apprehensive about it. He had just told Hailey that nothing Hel had said was true, but what if for once Hel had spoken the truth and Bruce had been the one who had lied? The thought drove him crazy but he didn't want to know what else Hel had told Hailey.

She smiled, keeping her arms around him. "I love you." She looked up into his eyes, the dark chocolate brown looking back at her. She loved his eyes, oh God she loved his eyes. She smiled lightly, her chest throbbing. She leaned her head back on his shoulder, so he wouldn't see the pain in her eyes.

Her stormy eyes looked back at him..Bruce loved her eyes they made her, her. Well everything made Hailey Heart herself, but her eyes were what had always stood out to him. That and her hair, those beautiful golden locks. Before she'd looked down he'd spotted the pain in her eyes and sighed, "Hailey, you're hurting, I can see it in your eyes..." His voice was soft, but what he didn't say was that he wanted her to lay a way that wouldn't hurt her.

She frowned lightly into his shoulder. She knew she was hurting, but she didn't want to say how much. "You're worth it." She whispered into his shoulder, not wanting to lay back down. She only wanted to stay up in his arms, forever. She smiled faintly, and let her eyes close.

Bruce sighed, "I just don't like seeing you in pain..." He kissed her forehead. He watched her with protective brown eyes I just don't want to loose you his eyes seemed to say as he looked into her own stormy eyes.

She smiled, scooting up to kiss his cheek gently. She let herself floop down slightly, still on his shoulder, her hands still wrapped around him. "I'm fine, now that you are here." She smiled lightly, looking into his eyes, his worry being reflected back to him from her own.

Bruce smiled at her, "Just try to get some rest," He told her gently, leaning down and kissing her nose. He gently leaned his head against her's and watched her with dark eyes. He hoped she'd be okay. Hel would pay, next time he saw her he'd kill her. And who ever had hurt her the first time.

[Hailey Heart]

She smiled, kissing his lips lightly. "Alright. I'll try." She smiled, shifting into a comfortable position, and closed her eyes. She shuddered slightly at the memory of what the doctor had said. She was pregnant, with Twins...and she wasn't sure if it was a good thing...not with the missions...and Bruce...She didn't want to freak him out, so she had kept it to herself. She sighed, trying to relax, and drifted into a light sleep.

Bruce smiled at her. He leaned back against the pillows at a doctor came in. For a moment he stared at Bruce and then at the sleeping Hailey. She wanted me to come up, Bruce mouthed to the doctor, who chuckled. "You two are together?" Asked the doctor. Bruce blinked..and blinked again. The doctor arched a brow at Bruce's hesitation. "Uh...yeah....yeah...." The doctor gave him the papers. He explained what they were and Bruce thanked him. As the doctor left Bruce looked down at it. His eyes went wide. Pregnant!? With twins!? He thought, blinking. He blinked. And again. And again. And once more. I'm going to be a father.... He thought, letting the truth sink in, I'm going to be a father! And a large grin spread from ear to ear.

Her eyes opened slowly as she heard someone leave the room. She looked over at Bruce and saw some papers in his hands. She swallowed lightly, knowing what it was. She sighed slightly, wondering what he would say. She turned her head, pressing her lips to his collar bone, a silent way to tell him she was awake.

Bruce looked at her, "We're going to be parents..." He was grinning from ear to ear. He kissed her nose, watching her with shining dark eyes. "I'm not going to ask why you didn't say anything, because I'm sure it was a good reason."

She shifted, getting her neck up to his. "I know, and I am scared." She smiled lightly, looking back at him, the same brightness in her eyes. She loved him, and she knew, deep down, that they would make it through. She kissed his cheek gently. "You're going to be a father." She whispered gently into his ear. She kissed his neck lightly. "And I love you, so much." She smiled lightly, leaning back down as pain clamped her chest, but she kept her head on his shoulder, not wanting to leave him.

Bruce smiled, "You're going to be a wonderful mother, don't worry about it." He kissed her nose gently, "I love you more." His voice held a slight challenge and his dark eyes shone in the pale light of the hospital room. He knew that he would do anything, and everything for her, he'd never let her down and he'd always try to be there for her.
