She saw the flash of the blade, just in time. She jumped back, it catching on her shirt, and slicing it, the very tip of the blade sliding across her skin, opening a small cut. She didn't wince as she bounced away, looking for something she could use as a weapon. She looked up at Hel. "I'll never believe you!" She shouted, although she partially did believe her...could it be true?

Hel let out a wheezing laugh. "That's a bad choice, mortal" growled the goddess as she threw another dagger at Hailey with a sinister laugh. Hel wasn't the best aim, because she moved around so much but when she wanted to she had an alright aim and she was aiming to wound Hailey.

Hailey saw the dagger and lept back, it sliding along her arm. She winced slightly, but she didn't give in. She grabbed Hel's dagger, she now had a weapon. She twitched slightly, the blood dripping down her chest and into her shirt.

Hel glared at Hailey. How could she be this relentless? wondered Hel as she shifted on the balls of her feet, ready to push off and get out of the way when needed because she knew Hailey would attack.

Hailey circled Hel, anger flashing in her eyes. She dove at Hel, landing a glancing blow on her hip bone before jumping out of the reach of Hel's blade, but she knew she wouldn't be safe for long. She was a goddess, and Hailey was just a super soldier...
