The evening had fell upon Manhattan and the nightlife outside was about to begin. Ames entered the bar as he was in the mood for a beer or two, so he walked up to the counter and ordered himself one. "One beer " he said simply and waited for it. As he got it he went and took a seat in one of the booths by a window and sipped his beer. He checked his phone to see if he had gotten any other messages,but the phone had been silent. Ames looked around in the bar and sipped his beer slowly.

It was boring night and Broden figured that a beer would help her sleep better. These past nights sh had been having dreams about someone from her past,She often wondered what happened to the man that saved her when she had gotten lost in some far away jungle on her way to find an old temple.
She rubbed her temples and stepped inside a bar that seemed promising."hmm .. well its a bit crowded for my taste but it will have to do . the old man has the bar closed tonight anyways " she said to herself softly while walking up to the bar-counter. "one large beer please "
She looked around and for a moment she thought she saw him , the man from her past but she must have been dreaming. He would certainly not be sitting here in some random bar but she had to admit that she often had sat by her window daydreaming about him coming to take her away from everything.

As Ames eyes wandered around in the bar and sipped his beer some more,looking out the window and turning his gaze to the door to watch people walking in and out of the bar,mostly in though , he looked over to the bar and saw a girl with blonde hair, not the tallest one either, but she looked somewhat familiar to him in. Ames didn`t want to stare too much but he had to look at her and see if he knew her from somewhere.
Ames had met many blondes during his years,but this one he had met in the past in the jungle far away. When he saw her face as she was looking back at him, It was like the time stopped for a second. It was the girl he had saved,Broden.
He didn`t know what to do, if he was suppose to talk to her or not. But Ames had never forgotten the girl.

She couldn't believe that she would see him here ,it was so unreal and therefore doubted it was him. She thought her mind was only playing games with her and allowing her to see the man of her dreams and the only she wanted to lose her last piece of innocence to. She remembered how kind he had been to her although not the gentlest of men, he had fed her and helped her back to society after a few days with him.
The way this man looked at her always made time seem to end and it was only the two of them that existed in that moment. She felt her cheeks turn pink and she wondered what would have happened if she had stayed with him. He had been so unlike anyone she had ever met and every inch of her had wished to be part of his world back and she still wanted that.
God how i wish it is him , but this is just m losing my mind . no way he would be here in new york . it cant be him .. i can wish it as much as i like but i probably wont see him again and somehow it makes me feel like I'm drowning. how one man can pull me in so deeply , that i don't know but i know that i want to so badly to be with him , my hero

Ames still couldn`t believe that he had spotted Broden here,of all places. But it started to sink in that she was here in this bar. She was not like any other girl he had met before.Ames had treated her kindly and helped her back. He sipped his beer,wanting to talk to her but he wasn`t sure what he would say. But as he put down the beer, he got up and slowly walked over to Broden who was still standing there,looking at him.
As he was standing before her, Ames looked into Broden`s eyes. "I can`t believe it`s you " Ames said to her. He ordered a new beer as well as the bartender was standing behind the bar.

Is he coming closer ? is it him ? oh my god .. can it really be him ? what is he doing here . oh dear oh why didn't i try to look prettier today .. of course he would be here . i cant just be imagining this . he is still so handsome . i don't think i ever seen such a beautiful man in my life . her thoughts grew more and more excited with each step closer he came. She sighed softly and licked her lips a bit more nervously and smoothed her shirt.
She heard his voice and now she knew it was truly her savior , her Ames. "i cant believe its you .. its been too long my friend .. " the word friend pained her beyond belief as she wanted to be much more than just his friend."I'm happy to see you again .. to see your safe and sound " her cheek felt as if they were burning up. "how have you been ? where have you been ?" she wanted to know everything if only to listen to his voice.

Ames looked at Broden. "Yeah it`s been a good while since i saw you " he said to her and smiled some to her. Ames was happy to see Broden again as well. He nodded "I`m glad to see you too Broden ,and i`m still alive and kicking" he said to her and grabbed his beer and sipped it some. Ames had feelings for Broden, but they were never shared with her. He had kept them to himself through the years. "I`m doing good..and i`ve been around " Ames said to her.
But now it was time to turn the table "But what about you..how have you been and where have you been ?" Ames asked her. He took another sip of the beer and looked at her.

Oh how she could watch this man for hours , she had never ever felt this way about anyone before. She ran a hand trough her hair and smiled, she could smell the scent of his cologne and his own scent mixed together perfectly."it has been too long .. I've thought of you many times " she said softly and blushed a light shade of pink. "I'm happy to hear that .. so what have you been up to ?" she was too happy and excited to be close to him again to even think of her beer.
She had never told anyone about him or the way he made her feel back then and seeing him now made it clear that he still had such an effect on her. She just wanted to grab onto him and kiss him deeply. She didn't want to lose this chance she had been given to follow her heart for once.
She smiled a bit more brightly as he asked about her , did he truly want to know what she had been up to and how she was. it made her feel special and that she somehow mattered to him , she felt that she must have meant something for him to remember her. "i have been good . after we parted ways i traveled a bit more before going back to new york and now I'm here, working and mostly hanging out at this old bar not too far away from here "

Ames looked at Broden and smiled some,it was just so good to see her again. "Yeah..i agree to that..too long and i`ve thought of you too a lot " Ames admitted to her. He sipped his beer and looked more at Broden,right now he just couldn`t take his eyes off her, she had gotten even more beautiful since the last time he saw her. "Ah..just been doing stuff, working and traveling around " Ames said to her and smiled some more.
Ames still remembered what she looked like the first time they met in the jungle, her looking all lost. And Broden wasn`t that easy to argue with either, she always had something to say.
He looked at Broden as she answered his questions. "That`s good love " Ames said to her and smiled some more. He sipped some more beer and looked around "Do you want to sit down and talk some more ? I want to hear more about you and your travels " he said to her.

If only i knew if he felt the same way for me that i do. god how i had been stubborn back then , so determined to make it on my own. I still cant believe how sucky my sense of direction is.But that was my biggest blessing , cause if i hadn't gotten lost i would never have met this wonderful man who still can make forget everything. oh how i wish i was his . She sighed softly and licked her lips a bit more nervously, she could feel her heart racing as he said he had thought a lot about her as well. Her cheeks were rosy and pink from this attention. "you have? that thought kinda makes me very happy "sounds like you've had your hands full then "
"i have to say i kinda missed you a lot .. it wasn't the same without you to argue with " she said with a wink. "hmm i never did forget the first time you called me love.. i remember how shocked i was then. but i grew used to it . nobody but you calls me love " she sighed happily and looked into those intense grey blue eyes that always had her spellbound. "i would love to .. not that i have a curfew or anything .. so jepp lets talk " She would do anything just to spend more time with him . hell she didn't even care that a cheeky little frat-boy stole her beer.
"Hmm well i went to asia after i met you and spent a few weeks in china and japan . did a short trip to vietnam but left after a few weeks and went to russia a quickie and damn it was cold " she said softly and smiled more.

Ames looked at Broden and smiled more to her. He had been thinking about her alot, he worried sometimes about her too,but she looked fine to him. "Yes i have and wondered if you were okey " he said to her."Mmm been mostly busy with work though, is a lot to do " he said to her and sipped his beer some more.
He smiled and chuckled when she mentioned the arguing "Yeah i never forget that,you were always so damn stubborn ,but i liked that about you " Ames admitted and looked into her hazel eyes. He smiled more to her and felt like he could relax around Broden. "yeah well it was fun calling you love too, you sometimes told me to say it again" he said to her and grinned some and looked at her. He smiled more when she wanted to sit down and talk some more. Ames walked over to the booth with her and took a seat and ordered two new beers from the bartender and looked at Broden.
"Wow you have really been traveling i must say " Ames said to her and smiled some to her. Ames` heart was racing now, the feelings came floating back up to the surface. As the beers arrived he handed one over to Broden "here you go love" he said to her and sipped his some.

She just wanted to wrap her arms around him and never let go but she knew that would be pretty awkward and so very unlike her.She felt her heart skip a beat as he admitted that he had wondered if she was okey, she couldn't imagine being in love with someone other than him."you did ? well i have been worried about you . i know your job isn't the safest " She loved the way his voice could send shivers down her spine and make her knees go weak. "well i hope you are staying in New York for a while "
She blushed a shade deeper as he spoke about how stubborn she was and how he liked it. His eyes locked onto hers and she felt as if her stomach was fluttering about."i bet it was .. well wouldn't every girl want a handsome man to call them love " she sighed softly and smiled brightly as she thought back on those days. She smiled and walked over to a comfy booth with him in the slightly darker place of the bar.
"more like running from everything .. to be honest i never stayed in one place due to my special gift.. i remember how i shocked you with it when you joked about leaving me in the temple " she said softly and smiled warmly. it was strange that some of her best memories always seemed to involve him.She barely noticed the beers until he handed her one. "thank you . are you trying to get me drunk ?" she asked with a teasing tone.

Ames looked at her when she admitted that she had been worried about him. He smiled some "No it`s not the safest one ,but that is why i like my job so much " he said and grinned at her some. "yeah i am staying in Manhattan for some time now, got a lot of jobs to do around here " he said to her and looked at her.
Broden made Ames smile more and she was pretty much the only reason for him to smile. "mhm i`m pretty sure they do, but you weren`t every girl out there Broden " he said to her in a whisper and grinned at her.
Ames listened to her talk about what she had been through and the first time she had shown off her gift to him. "Well if you hadn`t behaved i would`ve left you in the temple you know" Ames said and smirked and looked at her and into her eyes again. As Broden grabbed the beer and came with that question ,Ames couldn`t help but to laugh and smile at her. "Good one Broden,but would you mind if i did try getting you drunk ?" he asked her and grinned. Ames wanted to show her his feelings for her, but he wasn`t sure if he should just kiss her when the moment was right.

Broden had to smile as she was actually lucky enough to be close to only man she had ever thought of romantically. She didn't know what to say most of the time with him as she was just so caught up in his beauty. "yes its not .. but it must be exciting .. and to be honest i like that your not like everyone else" She felt like Danny just gave her a lifetime supply of his cheesecakes when Ames said that he would be staying in manhattan for a while. "really . then maybe you would like to maybe uhm .. hang out with me more .. i can be stubborn with you again "
She could listen to his smooth voice everyday and just savor it , she never had felt this way about anyone before. His smile alone could make her walk into a battlefield with little to no hope of survival and she would have still fought and smiled.She sighed happily and looked at him without a single thought on her beer. "no i guess not .. not everyday you meet a girl lost in a jungle " She felt a shiver down her spine as he whispered to her, she had never known that a person could make feel like this but he had done it somehow , he had broken past the walls she had around her heart without even trying.
Broden smiled and laughed a bit softly as she remembered what she had done to him back then , it had a small spark but enough for him to feel it."oh would you really have done that? poor little me ?" she smiled and looked at him and took a small sip of the beer." hmm i suppose not Ames , but what do you intend to do with m if i get so drunk i cant find my way way home then " she asked as a joke, She knew that he would not take advantage of her and she would always be safe with him.

Ames looked at Broden and smiled some to her. Sometimes it felt like Broden was the only one who understood him at times. He smiled some more when she spoke. "I would be rather boring if i was like everyone else out there, i wouldn`t be interesting if i was just sitting inside with a laptop in front of me all day " he said to her and smiled some more. Ames had to chuckle some and smiled some more. "I would love to hang out with you when i get the time for doing so, meaning when i`m not working " he said to her.
He grinned some at her. He remembered the first time he found her all alone in that jungle, Ames had no idea what she was doing there but as they started talking he knew what it was about. "No it was quite the surprise to find you there love" Ames said to her and smiled some and sipped his beer some more and looked at her. Ames`heart was still beating for Broden but he wanted her to know how he felt about her, unless she already knew that.
Ames smiled to her and sipped his beer and licked his lips and looked at her. "Nah i couldn`t have left you all alone there in the jungle, i would feel bad for doing it " he said to her. Ames took another sip of his beer and listened to what she said and grinned at her. "I would do the only right thing there is to do..get you home safely " he said to her and looked into her eyes.
"Because i do care a lot about you Broden,maybe even more than you think " Ames said softly to her.
