Betty made a good point asking her question. The Hulk is a part of Bruce and there's a possibility he could kill himself in the process. If Bruce died then so be it, he would go out in glory. Bruce would sacrifice his life for anything in this world, even for Betty. She would help Bruce with anything and he could see the determination in her eyes, even the love she has for him. He could imagine her father going crazy and arguing with Betty. Her dad and Bruce's dad were like two peas in a pot almost. At least Ross wouldn't hurt her daughter or abuse her like David did. Ross was looking out for his daughter and he did not want to see her get hurt. Kissing Betty softly on her lips, Bruce smiled at Betty, amazed of who she became. Betty made Bruce into a better man throughout the years they've been dating.
"Alright Betty, we are in this together", he told her. "I haven't really thought of it though since The Hulk and I are one in the same. It's going to take some time to find a cure and it'll lead me to different places but I can't stay here for long", he said to Betty and breaking the news to her. Ross was probably coming right here as we speak but Bruce could not be certain. "I'm going to have to go to places outside of the country and try to find someone who can help. But that does not mean I will forget you Betty...we can keep in contact with each other wherever I am at. I promise you sweetheart", he said to his lover. Bruce could feel the compassion between him and Betty ; they were almost alike due to their history growing up. That's where Bruce felt they could connect and lean on each other through support.

Betty was rather sad with what he said and it was easy to see it on her face, but hearing everything that he said she nodded to him with a smile on her face, though the smile was a sad one. She understood and she kissed him softly on the lips. It felt like she was losing him, but understood he had to do what it took. And if it took going to a different country then she would support it. She wanted to go but her father would hunt them both down. She knew that much about her father.
Stroking his cheek she smiled knowing he was running out of time. "I love you Bruce and I will be here when you come back to me" She said with a kind look on her face, the sadness would be there for a while but she was accepting what he had to do. And hugged Bruce to her, closing her eyes as she let the tears fall down. She made no sound what so ever, holding him and praying that he would come back to her, she was just so afraid of losing him. And would never be happy with anyone but Bruce. |

There was no fooling Betty, because deep down inside, she’s hurting. She accepted it but Bruce knows that it’s eating her inside that she’ll be lonely. She’ll always think about him and vice versa, they’re like two peas in pot. They had similarities but always shared their work together on what they’ve done. Even when Betty hugged Bruce, Banner could see the tear drops coming from her eyes. It almost made Bruce emotional and wanted to cry with her but would not do that. Hulk would just stop what he was doing and wipe the tears away from Betty and look into her eyes. Bruce continue to hold Betty until he looked into her eyes and kissed her passionately, giving her something to never forget. He’s a good kisser to Betty when they’re together and in love.
“I know Betty and I will be waiting for you. You’re my home wherever we are, whether it’s here, New York,…wherever…because of what we have”, he told her as he caressed her cheek softly before looking at the stove and all. “How about this…we’ll spend the rest of the day together and then tomorrow I will leave to start looking for a cure. We can do whatever you want today…because it’s about us…not your dad, not the army or anyone else” he said, making this about the both of them. Bruce could forget about everything and just loose himself with Betty. “So what do you say Miss Ross?”, Bruce asked Betty as he smiled and just waited for her to speak. Of course after breakfast there would be a lot of rearranging with Bruce leaving.

Betty so did not want him to go, but felt that he had to go. It was what had to happen for him to be safe, that would be everything to her. She wanted him very happy and if it came the way it had to come then she would do it in a heart beat. The way he kissed her it meant everything to her. He was everything to her and things were not going very well, but placing her hands on his face looking into his eyes she smiled at him with much love. It was amazing how much she loved him.
Nodding her head, she returned the kiss and knew much had to be done. She got up and began to get changed for the day, she looked at him and smiled a little bit. "You better come back to me Bruce Banner or one day I will hunt you down and not be very happy with you" She said in a serious tone but her smile showed something much more. Only Bruce held her heart and really she was beyond happy about that. She got dressed and got ready for the day ahead and was happy.
