She poked her sandwich around with her finger, not hungry at all. Watching him eat made her come close to vomiting - dry heaves - she winced in pain as she looked at him. He seemed worried, and she didn't blame him. She was a wreck. Her chest was still bandaged from when she had been shot, and she had torn the stitches several times already, mostly on her night patrols, but she refused to stop them. And, she had stopped telling her friends when she would go.
She sighed and looked at him. "I don't even know what to do anymore..." She whispered absently, looking down at her hands in defeat. Her hands still shook, sloshing some of the yellow liquid out onto the table causing her to sigh.

Seeing Barbara like this, almost so defeated to the core bothered Dick. She just wasn’t taking care of herself these days since her dad’s heart attack and the incident in Gotham a couple of days ago. Dick put down his sandwich on the plate before placing his hand on hers before he heard her say that she did not know what to do anymore. “Well there is one thing you can do”, he said softly to her. “You have to continue to fight and not give up. Nothing is perfect in this life we live in Barbara and everyday we have our downfalls but, we get back up to fight another day”, he told her as he slowly took the lemonade, placing it on the counter.
“Nothing in a relationship is not even perfect either. There’s times where we are going to have rocky moments but there will be time where we have good moments together”, he said to her as he smiled a bit. It did not matter if Babs was a mess and did not have make up on, in Dick’s eyes he saw a beautiful woman who was not always perfect but it did not matter. “We just have to work on getting better. I don’t expect it to be easy but we can make it…I know we can do it…together”, he said as he looks into her eyes. He could only help Babs get better, maybe being here everyday and hanging out with her…maybe.

Barbara looked up, still shaking slightly. "Dick...I....I don't think I'll be the same for a while...It's just too much for me right now..." She sighed and looked down, staring at her hand shaking on the glass of yellow lemonade. She couldn't stop her shaking and that in itself scared her.
