the site rules *

welcome to Avengers Arise, a semi-literate Avengers rp that takes place in Manhattan. i know you just want to get to the actual roleplaying, but please take the time to just read (or skim over) these rules before starting. there's not many, don't worry.

one please please respect both the admins and the members of this site, regardless of whether you are a member yourself or just a guest who is stopping by. please don't start fights out of character, i'm sure everyone would like Avengers Arise to be a fun and friendly place, not a living hell.

two when you register, you can sign up with any name you like, although upon setting up your profile, please change it to first (optional: middle) last. for example: ava jaymes quincy. this just makes things all neat and tidy.

three before you even consider roleplaying, please post your application and wait to be accepted. whoa, wait, before you protest, it's short and easy. relax. we are also a canon's optional site, so please original characters are welcome.

four here at Avengers Arise, we don't believe in a word count. mainly because Silence is lazy and this is her site. so all we ask is that you try to match the posts of the person you're roleplaying with. that's not too much to ask is it?


five one thing that drives Silence crazy is power playing. please please don't do it. for those of you who aren't quite sure on what it is, it's basically controlling someone else's character. just don't do it, please please please. if you have another person's permission, killing is the only exception

six almost done, sorry about this. please do not stretch the board, either with your signatures or posts. graphics should not be any wider than 340px. Silence has spent over three days making this site pretty and would kill you if you ruined it now.

seven finally, Avengers Arise is PG-13 so please don't be swearing every other word or go into detail with mature subjects. if you do Silence will be forced to give you a warning and she doesn't want to do that, so just please follow this rule.

eight ONE character PER account. you can have as many characters as you like, but only two canons per person. Silence may allow three if you are extremely active and have good writing skills. if you wish to have more then two canons message Silence about it. if you need help finding graphics for your characters message Silence and she'll help you.

nine NO killing another person's character without permission

ten NO god-modding, this means that you're character is all powerful or something and nothing can harm them. they all have weakness.

eleven NO 'perfect' characters. everyone has their flaws

NEW RULES!!!!***

twelve CANON LIMIT is now FOUR!!! If you have a canon he/she MUST be active, think about it everyone wants to plot and post with canons.
thirteen Starting now, in order to make a new character the one made before it MUST have at least 15 in character posts
fourteen Thanks to Jordan we now have an avatar size limit at 150x200, this size only, if not smaller. No 200x200 or squares in general.
fifteen Be patient. Really. People have lives. They aren't going to jump just because there was a reply posted for them. Sometimes people don't have muse or inspiration for a particular thread. I'm also going to stress, BE RESPECTFUL.
