Amelia walked towards the pizza shop of Manhattan. She wasn't expecting to see anyone she knew, but then of course she wasn't expecting anyone to be up at such a late hour. Well it wasn't that late, perhaps ten-thirty. She sighed. She was still thinking about talking to Steve about her feelings, that was what Nick had told her to do. It was the best thing to do, she knew that. Yet she didn't know how to say it.
She came closer to the pizza shop and sighed. She stopped outside of the door. She really didn't know what to do so she just stood there, waiting for something to happen. For something to distract her.

Kavati's paws were raw from running so far and with every bound, her claws made little tapping sounds on the cement, dodging the legs of any people who were out this late. Her ears were flat against her head as she continued running, the foul breath of the stray dogs on her heels.
She rounded a corner sharply, leaning to the right to stay up, but a businessman distracted with his phone didn't see her and his foot met her side, kicking her a few feet away, leaving him stumbling, dropping his phone and spilling his coffee all over himself.
The goddess could ear him cursing as she got up, sprinting along, the dogs even closer now, trying to find the nearest alley.
She ran past a pizza shop, swearing she saw Amelia standing there, but didn't have the time to check as she had found an alley.
The cat veered inside, ready to shift into something as scary as hell and beat the crap out of the dogs, but they had been closer behind than she had thought and were already on her by the time she turned around.
The mutt's teeth dug into her neck and she growled, giving it a warning.
It muttered something, but Kavati didn't understand and hissed again as she was shaken and another two showed up.
She yowled angrily, brown striped fur on her back standing up and green eyes beginning to glow fearfully.

Amelia heard the commotion in the next alley, having not noticed the cat run past her. She walked into the alley and saw the dogs, one had a cat in its mouth. Kavati? thought Amelia and grabbed a stone and threw it at one of the dogs. It dropped the cat and turned toward Amelia, growling. Amelia snapped, Get out of here, mutt! She threw another stone at it and it yelped, running off. The other two growled and Amelia took a step towards them and they turned tail and ran.
She looked at Kavati, she asked, going over, Are you alright? Concern laced her words as she looked for any sign of injury on the cat.

Kavati felt the impact of the stone hit the dog holding her and she jumped in surprise, landing halfway on her feet as it dropped her.
She whipped around and her eyes narrowed as she saw Amelia standing there, tossing another at the dog. The cat flicked it's tail as they retreated, tail tucked under their legs.
Her green eyes dulled to their normal brightness and she shook most of the saliva off of her head. "Besides the dog slobber all over me, I feel completely fine,' she replied, flattening her ears in disgust. "And I thought it was you standing right over there. Good thing it was," she mewed, whiskers twitching.

Amelia gave a smile. I knew I had a reason for not going in quite yet. Then she cocked her head and asked cheerfully, And how have you been fairing, Kavati?"
A slight breeze whipped Amelia's blonde hair into her face and the girl pushed it out and twirled it behind her ear. She watched the cat with bright eyes and an easy smile.

The cast sighed. "Eh. I'm just really bored. I've been looking for Tony all day, but since I wasn't able to find him, I gave up and decided to talk to a friend who lives behind a deli around here, but some stupid dogs started chasing me and- never mind," she muttered, flattening her ears.
"Anyway," Kavati spoke up again, "what now?" She yawned, back arcing in a stretch.

She cocked her head, "I haven't seen him around either...hmm I wonder what he's up to...?" She looked at Kavati and sighed, "Those dogs really shouldn't pick on you...considering what you could do to them, given the chance."
Amelia shrugged, "We could go get a pizza if you'd like," she smiled, and shrugged again, "I heard it's pretty good, but I've never been there." She grinned slightly at Kavati and thought about how to two got a long. Amelia was on the stranger side, and to be honest so was Kavati, not to mean but that's what Amelia thought.

"You know, I probably would've lost it and done something completely horrifying to them if I had gotten a chance to shift..." she trailed off, getting mad for not running faster to give herself time.
Kavati edged closer to the pizza shop with her. "And yeah, a pizza sounds good at the moment, but I hope you don't mind going in there by yourself, I didn't bring my clothes," she said, looking over herself. "Oh, and get anything but Hawaiian. Pineapple was not made to be put on tomato sauce and cooked. Bleh."

"I don't doubt it at all, Kavati!" said the blonde agent with a grin as the cat mentioned that she could have turned into something horrific and gave the dogs a run for their money. Agent Smith didn't doubt it, it was very much the truth. Kavati was one of her closest friends, yet Amelia Raven knew that the shapeshifter could turn into some pretty horrific things.
The blonde girl's face twisted in disgust when Kavati mentioned Hawaiian pizza. "I agree!" She nodded and thought, "Here why don't I get a menu and you can look it over?" Without giving the green-eyed goddess a chance to reply, Amelia went into the store and grabbed a take-out menu. She came back out and crouched down to set the menu down in front of her friend.

"Thanks," Kavati said as a menu was placed in front of her. She was at a complete loss of what to eat, but eventually her eyes came to a rest on the double cheese pizza. "That looks good," she commented, resting a paw on the picture as her mind drifted onto her choice of drink.
Of course, there were only one soda in the entire world she would drink at any time. "And could you get me a small Dr. Pepper? Dr. Pepper is amazing," she requested, flicking her tail, grateful for friends.

Amelia nodded, "Alright I'll be back in a minute!" She smiled at her cat friend and vanished into the pizza shop. She ordered a medium double cheese and two small Dr. Peppers. When the pizza was ready she paid, gave a tip and left the shop.
She looked at Kavati, "Where did you want to go to eat this? If you want we can go up to my place, I have some clothes you can barrow. Or if you'd rather we can go somewhere else."

The smell of hot pizza drifted into Kavati's nose and she purred in hunger, tail flicking back an fourth impatiently.
"I don't care... Never mind, I do. Your place would be nice." She felt like sitting at a table like a civilized human.

Amelia nodded and led her friend around the corner to a nice looking apartment building. She sneaked Kavati inside and through the halls to where she stopped outside apartment 203. She took out her keys and unlocked the door, letting Kavati in. She set the pizza on the table and went into her room. She pulled a striped V-neck and a pair of short jean shorts out of her drawer and came back to Kavati.
"I don't know what you're size is, but I hope this work," she led her friend down a short hall, "Bathroom's here," she told Kavati, placing the clothes on the counter, waved a hand to show that the bathroom was all Kavati's, flashed a quick smile and walked back down the hall and could be heard in the kitchen setting out plates.

"I'm a shapeshifter. Anything fits," she said, trotting inside and pushing the door closed with her shoulder before jumping onto the counter, inspecting the clothes. She couldn't help but sniff them. dang, they even smell good.
Kavati ruffled them up, slipping inside them and shifting into her human form. The shirt was a little baggy, but she doesn't mind how loose her shirts are. She cared more about the shorts. She had to slim her butt down a little to fit, but other than that, they felt comfortable. Her thoughts were interrupted as something didn't feel right. She felt unnaturally tall. She looked down and realized she was still on the counter. "Oh crap," the blonde said, swinging her legs over the side and hopping off before she knocked something over.
Kavati finished pulling her shirt down her back and combing her hair a little with her fingernails before opening the door and walking down the hall, making her way back to the main room, rubbing the back of her sore neck and clenching her jaw. "That freaking dog broke skin. I probably have rabies now," she said, running her fingers along the small cut on the side of her neck.

Amelia looked up, "Nope." She tapped the side of her head and grinned, "I can see the future, remember," she smiled. She'd had the vision and gone walking knowing that she'd answer a very important question with the answer no.
She opened the pizza and smiled over at Kavati, she walked away from the table and went into her fridge, getting out a can of coke. |
