It was a wonderful sunny day and Scout couldn't think of anything better than a big cup of coffee and if she was lucky a good old brownie with some ice cream with it. She put on her brown leather jacket and converse shoes before she headed out of the institute with a big grin on her face.
She pulled her long dark brown back into a ponytail and began to walk to the nearest bus-stop. She didn't have to wait that long for the bus to arrive and for that she got really happy and almost did a happy dance but stopped herself before she started to. "oh i hope i can maybe do some shopping to but knowing me , ill probably be stuck at the coffee shop til they close " she mumbled and put on her headphones and played one of her new favorite songs , Echo by Jason walker.
She looked out the window of the bus and watched as they drove into the city and to manhattan where Hunter had told her there was this good coffee shop that had sweets so good that they would make her drool. She could barely wait for thee bus to stop but she managed to wait for it to pull over and open the doors. She practically ran out of the bus and headed towards the shop with two things on her mind , brownies and coffee. "oh god i am so close now ..oh god yes i hope its as good as hunty says " she smiled and strolled trough the door and to the counter with rushed steps "hello .. One large double mocha caramel latte and a slice of that brownie with some ice cream please if you have " she said softly and smiled.

She was thinking about how she may lose her job if she couldn't get her car to work, but she kept getting distracted by the though of someone whom had come in earlier. She shook her head to clear it. She was alone at work today, again...
She looked up when she heard the door bell go off. They had been relatively silent today. She had been polishing the silver lid of the frothier for the one hundredth time. "Sure, it might take a few seconds though." She smiled and rung it up. The display flashed $4.00. She smiled at her and started making her coffee.

Scout smiled and looked at the girl and thought she was very pretty and wondered why she was here all alone , she couldnt see any other employee`s and she felt a bit bad for the girl. " oh its no worry at all .. i am in no rush .. your probably gonna see me here for a while anyways " she said with a friendly tone and put a 20 dollar bill up on the desk and smiled." keep the change .. i got more where it comes from " she said with a smile and looked around in the store.
"uhm sorry to ask but are you here all alone? that must be tough especially if theres a rush " she said softly and looked at her and thn around , it wasnt so busy right now but she could imagine that it would change later in the day."so is it nic working here? " she asked softly and smiled. She always did like to make new friends and someone who knew how to make a good cup of coffee would always be respected by her.

She smiled at the twenty. "Thanks, it's very nice of you." She returned to making it, and stopped for a moment. She ducked under the table and cut a large, bigger than it should be, piece of brownie. She smiled and set it on the counter, slipping in a peppermint as well with a small wink. Then she went back to the mocha.
She shrugged. "I guess there is a bug going around, and I'm the only one whose not got it." She smiled a little more as she finished the mocha and put in the caramel. "The rush, not for a few more hours...the morning rush is over, thank God." She smirked and set her mocha on the counter for her.

Scout smiled and looked at her " naah no worry you seem like a very nice person and plus if you have some eextra its always good to share it with others " she smiles and looked at the brownie and the size of it , her mouth watering and she couldnt help but to lick her full lips. "oh god that looks so yummy " and smiled even more as she slipped a peppermint as well "youre very kind too " she said with a smile and took in the scent of the coffee.
"oh thats not good but still isnt there anyone else to help out here , you shouldnt be on your own , i mean you can probably handle it but i bet your exhausted after work" she said softly and looked at the girl and felt really bad that she would have be here all alone all day long." oh thats good but i hope it wont be too hard on you " she said softly and sighed softly and took the cup of coffee and sipped it. " oh this is good . ooh so good "

She smiled as she took a sip of the coffee. She was happy she liked it, she wasn't really used to making that drink. "Thanks, and you're pretty awesome too." She smiled.
When she had said that was probably being rushed. "I've been doing it for about a week, and only two people have even noticed I was here alone." She shrugged. It had gotten annoying, everyone wanting her attention, making six coffees at one time. It was a rush that would make anyone's head spin. Having to pay out of pocket when someone left without paying, because she was distracted by another person claiming she had made the coffee wrong. She was a little tired of it, but she was getting paid, and every now and then, someone really nice would come in. "Well, I'm gonna take a break in a few minutes if you want to stick around and talk." She smiled a little more as she wiped off her hands on her brown coffee apron uniform.

She sighed softly and licked her lips a bit."thank you and so do you have a break coming up soon .. ill buy you a coffee or tea " She offered with a smile and looked at her with kind smile.
"ah week only and your left on your . wow i would be so pissed at my boss if that was me " she said softly and pouted a bit."hmm i guess most people just are in a rush and want what they want and quickly" she said softly and pouted.
"Id love to stick around . actually I'm pretty sure i would anyways . i have a deep love for coffee shops and bakeries"She smiled and looked around a bit in the shop " so does it pay well ? " she was a bit curious on that and she wasn't sure it was that a job that paid well but someone had to do it or else she would lose her mind. "so do you meet lots of cute boys here ?"

She smiled at her, she seemed really nice, and Annabell figured she was. "Thanks, but you don't have to buy me anything." She smiled and punched in a few numbers, she was going on break....now...
She slipped the apron off and walked around the counter. "I'm on break now, and the pay is decent....but my boss is a real ass....." She shrugged and collapsed into a chair. She had been up since three in the morning, and she had been here a long time, standing the whole time, working through her breaks...
When she asked about hot guys, her mind went to Hunter. She smiled at the thought of him. "A few, but only one that sticks in my mind." She smiled a little more at the thought of him. She was actually waiting for him to come into the shop again, he was nice, and not bad looking. She was actually looking forward to talking to him again... She tore herself from her thoughts and smiled at this nice woman.

"are you sure ? oh okay then " she said softly and licked her full pink lips and looked around as it was pretty much the two of them only here, it seems. She smoothed down her shirt a bit and grabbed a seat by a nearby table and sipped more of her coffee and then took a bite out of the delicious brownie which made her hum with happiness
"oh oki .. well anyone who would leave an employee alone for so long is a jerk .. i mean especially in rushed place like the coffee shop "She mumbled out with a pout . " hopefully this um illness that is going around will disappear " she said softly and smiled more brightly.
Scout wondered if she would find a boy that saw her more than as just a friend but then again she got so damn shy and weird around them that it seemed impossible." ooh do tell .. blue ,green grey or brown eyes? blond ,brunette or ginger?" She asked curiously and smiled."oh sorry for being so nosy .. i tend to be curious like the cat and romance is always fun to hear about " she winked and ate some more of the brownie that would probably sink its hooks into her and make her addicted to them.

She smiled a little more, pulling an aspirin from her pocket and swallowing it dry. "I hope, because I'm not getting extra for this." She shrugged and adjusted in the chair, hoping she would be able to get up again if she needed to.
She smiled as she started asking questions. "It's alright, I don't mind." She shrugged lightly as she apoligised for asking so many questions. Brownish blonde hair, and blue eyes." She smiled at the memory of him. "He was so sweet." She smiled more as she looked at the woman. "I'm Annabell by the way." She smiled more, and nodded slightly.

"oh that is just awful .. your boss isn't paying you extra for this ? "she was a bit angered by that information as it seemed her boss was taking advantage of her like this. "that just isn't right " scout said softly and pouted a bit before taking a new sip of her coffee. "hmm ..have you talked to him about it ?" she asked softly and looked at the walls that had some old photos and paintings on the wall.
With a heavy sigh she looked around in the store and then settled her eyes on the girl again. "oh he sounds like a cutie .. did you ask him out or something ?" she smiled and wiggled her brows playfully with a big grin on her face."I'm Scout . my more annoying adopted brother hunty calls me scoutty " she smiled and rubbed her chin a bit. "so did you get his name? oh and sorry for my eagerness .. i don't exactly have much of a love-life seeing as I'm so busy with school and well my books " she said softly as her cheeks turned a soft shade of pink

She shrugged. She hadn't talked to her boss about it because she was afraid she would lose her job. "I'd rather keep my job." She shrugged again and adjusted in the chair.
A smile slipped onto her face. "Oh, I wish I had asked him out. He was amazing." She smiled in the memory of him. When she said her name was Scout she smiled. "I like that name." She licked her lips. "I can relate to not having time. I'm here all the time, and after a game of baseball, or football, at the park, I'm exhausted." She smiled a little more and answered her question. "His name is Hunter." She grinned.

"I'm sorry . i just know i would not take it being treated this way , the way your boss is treating you , like some slave almost " she said softly and licked her lips again , tasting the sweet coffee and chocolate flavor on them. "well i certainly hope that you wont have to work like this more "
Scout listened and ate the rest of her brownie while the Annabell talked and answered her questions.It sounded as if she did have quite the schedule,. "thanks and i like Annabell .. and wow your like really active .. you kinda make me look like a total lazy ass " she teased with a smile and looked at her.She raised a brow at the mention of a Hunter , one that fit the description of her adopted brother. "hunter? Not Hunty ? Kinda addicted to coffee . tends to stare into the empty air sometimes?"

She smiled a little at that. "As soon as I find another job, I'm going to quit this one." She smirked, wondering what her boss would so with out her. She giggled at the image of his running around behind the counter, trying to deal with what she dealt with every day.
She smiled, laughing as she called herself a lazy ass. "I just didn't really have any friends yet, so I kind of kept myself busy." She laughed slightly, by having a life, she didn't really have one. She laughed lightly to herself. When she talked about Hunter, she smiled. "Yeah, kinda. But I don't think I called him Hunty..." She grinned a little. "He also took me to dinner." She smiled in the memory of it.

Scout smiled and nodded "that's good . this is not a good job , if that's how you are treated but i will miss this damned good coffee though " Scout smiled a bit as she tried to think of a good workplace for Anna, she was really happy to have met this bubbly happy girl and that didn't sit around sulking because she had a shitty boss. "hmm i think there are a few clothes stores that need help " she said softly and drank the rest of her coffee.
"oh that's a pity . i don't think anyone as nice as you should be without friends . its too lonely and sad to with a friend in the world." she said softly and smiled a bit more."i wasn't exactly a popular kid growing up but i always had Hunter and my sisters . oh and of course my crazy uncles .. to help the loneliness " she said softly and looked around a bit more." So you met my dorky brother .. oh I'm the only who calls him Hunty , i have since we were kids" Scout smiled a bit more seeing Anna`s smile and tried to picture her and hunter together , she hoped it would work out that way. " yeah he is nice.. he always has been a sweet guy "
