Hearing Amelia’s go lucky happy attitude, Fury chuckled a bit. Agent Smith is someone to rely on, one of the best agents of SHIELD and Fury knew that. But when she said a green lantern Fury was confused. “What do you mean green lantern? That’s a yellow lantern that just came on and attacked our headquarters Agent…..” he said and about to finish but saw something happened on the screen. Where the yellow lantern was, he was quickly turning green. “This is not good” he said as he continued looking at the screen, observing what happens next.

Amelia looked at him, Nick, please! Yellow lantern? You must be blind! Look at him! He's GREEN, Nick, GREEN! Agent Smith glanced back at the screen. Yes, she thought, definitely green lantern.
She brushed strands of her wild blond hair from her face and sighed, biting her bottom lip as she saw the alien's green suit flicker and small blotches of yellow appear. Oh...I see it now! She murmured softly, her hand hovering slightly over the bottom that would have opened the cage. As though bitten she jerked her hand back and hissed through clenched teeth, He's ugly! she exclaimed looking at Nick.
I mean look at him, Nick! Look at him! she waved her hands towards the screen, He's PURPLE for crying out loud! She shook her head in shame, How could anyone think that, that would be attractive? Oh god! And don't even get me started on his hair and mustache or beard thingy or whatever...

Confused by Amelia’s explanations, Fury looked closer into screen. She was right, the yellow lantern was turning purple but why? What is he up to? “Who said he was attractive? Not to me” said Fury and this guy for sure wouldn’t be going out with anyone on this day forward. “That man tried to attack us Agent Smith. Trying to come in and set the whole place on fire or something, and we didn’t even needs the Avengers. SHIELD got the job done” Nick told Amelia. Still it bothered him that the avengers weren’t still here but knew they had other business to attend to.
“What could he be up to?” he asked himself as he kept looking at the screen while the others were working on the glass. Fury waited and knew that something would happened, but what? The box is still strong enough to contain anyone but with the powers of yellow and green lanterns….anything can happen. “If he tries to get out it won’t be possible” he mumbled.

Amelia laughed, I know no one said he was, but I was just merely stating a fact! Amelia nodded, I know he attacked us, I felt it, and Nick you continuously call me Agent Smith, you know you don't have to. Agent is not my name. And I prefer Amelia anyhow. She smirked playfully at the man who was a brotherly figure.
Well Nick, Amelia sat back and grinned, That's a triumph now isn't it? Wait until you tell the Avengers, they'll be thrilled. She smiled and went on, If we tries anything!? What could he be up to? You are asking me, Nicholas Fury!? However do you think I would know!? Amelia was the only girl or person willing to talk to Director Fury that well.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at Amelia. This is someone who hasn’t been able to make Fury laugh or smile that much. Well maybe Tony Stark but that’s another story at another time. “Oh yeah, the Avengers will be thrilled including Stark. He’ll be having a filed day about this alright” he told her as he took a sip of his coffee. But there were….a group of people that needed to know and those were the twelve people. The ones that put Nick Fury in charge of SHIELD in the first place. Fury respected them, even though they get on his nerves from time to time.
“Anyway did you see any of the Avengers? Steve?” he asked her.

Amelia sighed, she wished he hadn't mentioned Steve. The cheerfulness that had once shone in her beautiful azure ocean blue eyes fled as he said Steve's name. She liked Steve and she hadn't told Nick even though he was someone that she trusted with her life, someone that she would give up her life for. She sighed again and frowned, casting slightly sad eyes to the ground.
Steve? she asked softly, and she hardly ever spoke softly, only when something was wrong, Oh..Steve uh no I-I haven't seen him... She wiped her eyes and tried to hide the threatening tears.
She felt her eyes tearing up. She hated Steve, but that was just a cold facade she tried to put up. Inside she would die for him. And the thought that he just pushed her aside without a care killed her. She would always put up a smile for him, but deep down inside setting her eyes on him killed her.

Asking the question, Nick noticed her looking down sadly and sighing. "You ok Amelia?" he asked her. Before he could hear and answers....."Sir, we have sightings of a monster on the loose in New York City!" said a staff member. "Put it up on the screen please" he instructed as on the screen showed two people, the monster and someone that Nick knew, going at it. "Thor has arrived on the battle scene and has been notified. He's going up against it" said the staff member.
At least one of the avengers were now avaliable.
"Let's hope that Thor gets the job done" he said to Amelia as they all watched. From the looks of it, Thor's giving the creature a beat down and can handle it. Fury smiled at the looks of it. He knew Thor could handle himself even if the other avengers arrived. Fury had no regrets of bringing these six people together. He knew at first they wouldn't get along and have there problems. But on that day that no one will ever forget, the Avengers were born. "What the hell is that thing anyway? Looks like some kind of dinosaur or something" he said as he looked closer.

Amelia looked up at him and gave a small forced smile. Then the screen flickered on after another agent called out that there was something going on downtown. She looked at the screen, there was Thor fighting something that resembled a dinosaur.
For that small brief moment her mind was off of Steve, but then it shot right back to him. His perfect blue eyes, his hair that always looked fine, his voice that was gentle and kind, and his laugh that was just as contagious as his smile. She barely heard Nick when he said that he hoped Thor got the job done. She nodded slightly, her mind wasn't really there.
When he asked what it was she sighed softly and murmured, It's a type of dinosaur...probably a raptor or something by the looks of it. She cast her gaze back to the ground, her mind traveling right back to Steve. As usual. She just couldn't keep him off her mind and it was killing her. Especially when he still didn't know that she had nearly died for him.

“I see…very interesting Amelia” he said as Fury looked on. The creature started shape shifting into other extinct dinosaurs. This to Fury was surprising to say the least and knew they had another enemy on there hands. He was glad that it didn’t have lantern powers or it would cause more damage the entire planer. He couldn’t help but noticed Amelia looking down. He wondered if Steve said anything wrong or picked on her. Steve is a good guy but sometimes like Tony can be full of himself. Steve was a proud man who served his time in war and always fought the good fight.
“It looks like Thor has this in the bag” he said to Amelia. “Wished he was here sending that yellow lantern back to where he came from” Fury told her. Still not having the avengers for the other incident earlier bothered him still.

Amelia nodded slightly and spoke softly, Nick...can I tell you something? She looked up at him and swallowed slightly. She didn't know how to tell him, even though he was like a brother to him, that she was pretty much in love with Steve and that she had a gash across her chest to prove that she'd do anything and everything for him.
She didn't know how to tell Nick that one false move would open up the wound. She didn't know how to tell anyone, let alone Nick, that she was afraid to die. Amelia Raven Smith had many secrets and she was willing to tell Nick them. One of which being the wound. Second of which being her crush on Steve. And third, well now, that was truly a secret.

Amelia's personality and enthusiasum made Nick smile at times, which no one hasn't been able to do. Okay maybe Tony Stark, unforutantely. "Let me guess. Someone's on your mind or something right?" he asked her. Nick knew it had to be someone, maybe on the Avengers or SHIELD.

That third secret, she was willing to tell Nick. She opened her mouth to speak, but then at the worst possible of times her eyes widened and her heart began to pound. She squeezed her eyes shut, her mind screaming out, NO! NO! No, no no, not, not now! Amelia collapsed and images, horrid images flashed before her eyes.
Stark tower, destroyed, falling, crashing to the ground. Aliens covering downtown Manhattan. Steve getting stabbed in the shoulder, maroon blood flowing down his front. And when Steve was stabbed Amelia felt it and she yelped out without knowing it, grasping her shoulder. And then Tony, crashing to the ground. The crash jolted through Amelia and her body jerked as though she were having a seizure. Loki's staff touching Clint's chest and tearing out his will. It seemed to tear out Amelia's and she yelped. And then Natasha being shot, Amelia felt it and she clutched her leg. And then herself. She watched as Sinestro drew back a glowing yellow dagger and plunged it into her chest. And Amelia cried out in pain, no she screamed.
But there were not scratches on her. Not one and yet she felt all those wounds from the future that might be if the Avengers and SHIELD couldn't win. And Amelia knew that as her eyes snapped open she would be questioned. She curled her knees up to her chest and began to cry softly. I'm sorry, so sorry... she sobbed.

Nick noticed her facial expressions on what she was looking at. All Nick could see was Thor giving it to the creature and nothing else, Thor’s winning this thing hands down. Is it something else? Maybe she’s just imagining the worst of things. “Amelia are you alright?” he asked again before seeing the tears in her eyes. What is bugging her? Was she in any danger? Did that yellow lantern bastard hurt her? If he did then he’ll have to answer to Nick Fury. No one messes with him, the avenger or anyone else that is apart of SHIELD. They were all his priority and that has never changed.
Nick bend down in front of her. “Come on” he said softly before slowly pulling her up and leaves the control room with her . Before he does that he told Maria Hill to take over for a bit until Fury got back. Once the two were alone, Nick pulled out some tissues from his pocket, giving it to her. “Alright, tell me what’s going on. You know you can trust me” he simply said to her. He waited for an answer but knew he was getting more than he asked for.

She swallowed and looked up slightly at him. Tears dripped down her face as she took the tissue, trying to dry her eyes. I've known for months now... Amelia started softly, I first found it out the day that I saved...that I saved Steve..the day I nearly died...
[/color] She paused to wipe her eyes, but it was no use, tears fell down once more. She sighed and went on, He doesn't know, I made sure that I got out of there before he did. That was the day I didn't return for a while...after that I started having weird dreams of things that would usually happen the next day or in the next few days. At first, I thought it was pretty cool, but then i started getting the horrible memories. She swallowed and coughed slightly her chest aching. She didn't think anything of it and went on, finding it slightly hard to breathe, I got to the memories of the world ending, of Loki taking over...I've had them more often then normal, but I haven't had one since a few weeks ago, a very minor one..but this one...it was horrible...She opened her mouth to go on but something stopped her. Suddenly Amelia felt something. Something wet and slightly sticky running down her front. One of her greatest fears came to pass as she pressed tentative fingers against the wound. She had been right. It had opened. She hadn't had a vision in some time and this did it in. She began to feel light headed as she drew her fingers back, bloodied at the tips. And a maroon blotch began to widen on her chest. "Oh god" Fury muttered as he saw blood coming from Amelia. "Hold on, let me get help" he said. "We need a medic down here NOW!" Fury said out loud as he held onto Amelia from fainting or falling. "It's going to be okay kiddo. Just hang in there and relax, i'm here now. I won't leave you but be by your side" he told her. Whatever was going on in her head, it seem to come to life even though the images she told Fury about the tragic events. Fury knew Amelia worried too much at times but now he hoped Amelia continue to be strong during this terrible time.
