In the control room, the director of SHIELD stood watching the screens with staff and other agents. Monitoring the days events around the world. Fury knew that at any moment, something could go wrong and all hell would break loose. Nick wasn’t a man of fear or being afraid, he accepted anything that got in his way but took action. Fury wouldn’t stand around and do nothing, that would just be so lazy. He knew he could call The Avengers for help if it was a world wide crisis but for now, nothing to worry about. Nick just felt that things were too quiet as of late.

Broden sighed softly and praid to whatever gods there were that she wouldnt screw this up, she felt she needed to be at her best behavior as both steve and hailey had offered this meeting to her but steve was the one who brought her here. She didnt know why they thought that she would be of any use to shield but she would give it a try. she was getting tired of running around without a goal in her life and just maybe shield was her destiny.
She sighed and tugged on her black dress pants and sighed ,she hated to wear fancy clothing but a suit was damn better than a freaking dress.She smirked as she even got to wear a tie with her suit.She looked over at Steve and smiled softly " okay so here it goes .. meeting with fury .. "

"It'll be fine, don't worry." Steve told her as he got off from leaning against the wall. He gave Broden a reassuring pat on the shoulder before looking her over. "You're looking mighty fancy." He said with a grin. He had on a normal plaid button up shirt with a collar, but he'd misplaced his tie and hadn't had time to go and look for it. Oh well, it doesn't matter, I'm not the one who is trying to impress Fury. His pants were on the longer side and a little baggy. His hair was nicely combed and his cobalt eyes were bright.

Fury continued to look at the screens still before noticing two people coming up to him. “Ah, Steve Rogers, the Super Soldier, it’s good to see you” he said before seeing a woman he didn’t recognize but started to remember that he had a meeting. “And hello to you too Miss….Winters” he said. “I am Director Nick Fury…but you can call me Nick, Fury…..whatever floats your boat…come on in. You too Captain” he said and introduced himself. Broden from the looks of it, is a very nice and beautiful lady but the director wondered if she and Rogers are now dating….but that’s not important now.
“So now that were all settled let me begin by asking you Miss Winters….why do you want to be apart of the team?” he said and asked. “What do you actually bring to the plate?”

Broden smiled softly and licked her lips a bit nervously and smoothed her hair down and looked around on the helicarrier, she hoped this thing wasnt going up in the air anytime soon. She smiled as she heard steve`s comment and laughed a bit softly." thank you steve .. normally i wouldnt be all dressed up but job interviews. " she sighed softly and nibbled on her bottomlip a bit more."god i hope this goes well " she sighed softly
Broden kept quiet and stood there while looking around a bit more and sighed softly s she bit down on her bottomlip roughly. "hello Sir .. meeh miss winters .. call me broden .. " she said softly and bit down on her lips a bit roughly.she looked at steve hoped that his god was with him for this . she was terrible at job interviews and this would be a hard one.
"thank you sir . well i have hopes that i could use my powers for something other than myself .. and random people .. i dont have a lot of goals in life but i sure as hell got enough life to live trough a few wild rides " she sighed softly and licked her lips a bit. "well beside me healing pretty much all my freaking injuries .. i can electrocute people.. perks of being a mutant i guess " she said with a lazy tone.

" Electricity can be used for more then electrocuting people," muttered Steve, shooting Broden a look that said, what are you doing!?, mainly because of her. 'electrocuting people' comment. He looked at Fury and said, "She's a good person, Director, please consider her, I think she'd make a fine choice for an Avenger." Oh I hope she gets it... thought Steve glancing from Fury to Broden.

The director listened.....eletrical powers? Sounds interesting, as he wouldn't mind her using those powers on Loki and frying him to a shiskibob. Oh Nick would love seeing that happen and Loki and any other enemy deserved for messing with the world. Hell Fury would love nothing more to burn Loki down the size but that's for Thor and The Avengers to deal with. Listening to Steve it amazed Fury how much Cap would talk so highly about Broden. After a few mintues of thinking, Fury looked at the two and smiled.
"Okay....you're in Broden....welcome to the team" he said as he shook the young woman's hand. "And congrats.....because you'll be in a first assignment alongside Cap and Thor" he told her, then looked at Broden and Steve with a smirk on his face.

Sam felt a bit shy when steve talked so highly about her , she hadnt met many people who would speak so sweetly of her and here she was being recomended by the one and only captain america to his boss , Fury. She could have cried , if it werent for the fact that she hated it when people saw her moments of weakness."thank you Steve "
Broden didnt know what he was thinking right now , one could probably say a lot about fury but he sure had a pokerface.Was he thinking she could be too dangerous ? or maybe he was thinking of sending her to the government , god she had heard of the things that they had done to mutants and it frightened her a lot more than some old dusty norse god.
A bright smile appeared on her face as she heard him say she was part of the team now."thank you sir . and i will do my best to live up to your standards.. "she smiled and looked at steve with a grateful look on her face, mouthing youre the best to him."i will? thank you sir and i look forward to the assignment " she sighed softly and licked her lips a bit.

He smiled at Broden when she mouthed 'you're the best'. Steve cocked his head, "What do we have to do?" He asked curiously. Steve had gone on several missions for Fury,but he'd been either with Agent Smith or by himself and they hadn't been hard missions, never had he been sent out with two of the other Avengers though, this must be a big one.

“Recently…or shall I just say there’s been sightings of Loki in the city” he said as he pulled up screens and stretched them out enough so both can see. Suddenly on one of the screens, one section went red. “Sir! Loki’s been sighted in Manhattan” said one of the staff members as Fury knew what to do. He looked at Cap and Broden before speaking. “There’s the target. I want you two alongside with Thor, get Loki and bring him into SHIELD’s custody, it’s time that Loki get’s a tast of his own medicine. I will contact Thor and let him know of the situation” he said to them. “Good luck and especially to you Broden, welcome to the team” he told her.

Broden listened to fury as he shard the details on their new assignment.She wondered what this thor was like but she would know soon enough at least. She licked her lips and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. "So we are going after loki .. oh alrighty lets fry this jotun prankster" she said softly and smiled. "its allright to fry him a little bit ? " she asked with a lazy grin. "and thank you sir . for trusting me with this task . i will do my best " she said softly and smiled a bit more brightly

"Loki!?" Steve blurted, "That's outrageous! This is her first mission!" This was Sam's sister, if she was injured, taken captive, brainwashed or worse, killed, the Captain feared that Sam would never forgive him. He didn't know what to say, he didn't want Broden to get hurt, not only was she Sam's sister, but she was his friend.

"Chill out Steve" Fury said to him. "She's got you and Thor. Also she can handle her own too, just stick by her no matter what, same goes to Thor" he instructed him, despite Rogers complaning and all Fury held up his hand. "Listen Cap....just go with Thor and Broden now....you don't wanna miss out on all the fun and excitment don't you? And no....this isn't a time for fun and jokes, this is serious business" he told him. "Now go" he said to Cap and meant it.
