She nodded and pushed him to sit down, looking into his eyes she smiled a bit at him. Raising her hand and placing it on his forehead she closed her eyes and began to go into his mind. "You were born in 1882 you worked in the Canadian army fought in world war one. and in World War two. You did a lot of fighting by Sheild members." She winched seeing even more memories that were long dead to him. "Y..you headed back to Canada once the fighting was over but you were recruietd for another special project called Weapon X. Tenth experiment of the Weapon Plus Program. You were subjected to extensive memory manipulation and an unbreakable metal called adamantium on your whole skeleton. And you were convinced you were nothing but an animal." She gasped from the pain she could feel and opened up her eyes.

 I must confess I feel like a MONSTER
Every time she winced he resisted the urge to grab her by the shoulders and shove her from his memories to save her the pain. If it hurt her then he didn't want to remember. However he didn't do that, he couldn't even if he had wanted to. He was shocked as the memories slowly slid into his mind as though they had never been there at all.
When she gasped he did shield his mind, putting his arms around her and pulling her close to him. "You don't have to do it anymore." He told her, afraid for her welfare. He ran his hand across her silky hair, kissing the top of her head gently.

When he stopped her she opened up her eyes and felt his lips on her forehead and that made her smile. She wrapped her arms around him and looked at him. "What I saw I think it's better you don't remember, but the program weapon x that is why you don't remember. The pain was just....I have never felt so much in my life. I am sorry they did that to you Logan, but they were wrong you are not an animal" She stroked his cheek and smiled at him. "Your the man id live and die for"

Logan sighed. "What did they do?" He asked softly, meeting her eyes steadily. He knew she didn't want to tell him, he wasn't stupid, but he needed to know. He needed to completely erase the nagging curiosity. He searched he eyes, looking for the answer his mind hungered for. He didn't want to make her tell him but there was no other way. He just needed to know.

Jean looked at him and took a deep breath not wanting to tell him "You were not the first they tried to put the metal in, you were the first that survived because of your healing ability. They put you in water thick needles going into your body coating your skeleton with metal. You were not born with the animal attributes they did that to you as well. Trying to make you into nothing more then a mindless animal. And they erased your memories, I am not to sure if they meant to erase everything. And that is what I saw in you, they slipped up because you got out faught your way out and became Wolverine" She smiled "Best man I know"

A sigh slid from his mouth as he brushed the hair from her face. He didn't really know what to say, so he just gently wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight, loving hug. As he pressed his lips to the top of her head he thought, Only you, Jean, are allowed to see this side of me...only you..." To others he would remain the standoffish and rude Wolverine.

She smiled happily at him and gazed into his eyes, and could pick up his thought and looked into his eyes. Feeling him against her. Running her fingers up his back she truly did love the man, but he was no animal that she knew for sure. "I love you Logan" She said in his head and kissed him softly a smile on her feet and taking a deep breath she sighed happily. Running her fingers against his jaw and wondered what would happen to them now, but she knew they would deal with what ever happened good or bad"

He kissed her back, smiling into the kiss. Without a care in the world, Logan kissed the woman he loved on the balcony of the institute. He knew that they'd face darkness and light, but they would somehow get through it.

She smiled happily into the kiss herself stroking his cheek lovingly and it truly was a really wonderful moment. Running her fingers against his cheek as she sighed happily. Looking into his eyes, she seemed to see almost a peace there which was rather nice to see. Right now it was just all to perfect and right now things were great. ---End--- (Np  ) |
