Personality: { When people meet Logan for the first time he comes off as standoffish and rude but that is his usual demeanor with people he has not met before. Logan also doesn’t trust easily when you earn his trust you earn his respect and when you have his respect he will lay his life down to help you. There are very few even among the X-men Logan really trusts and the number outside the X-men is even smaller.

Logan keeps everything close to the chest mostly because he cannot remember his past and what he can remember he refuses to share with anyone. The few people he respects are members of Alpha Flight, Rogue, Charles Xavier, and Beast. Logan refuses to acknowledge it but he likes having the X-men around knowing that even if he is a lone wolf most of the time they have his back when it counts.}

History: {Logan was born in Alberta, Canada in 1882, the second son of Elizabeth and John Howlett. James lived a life of privilege until one night the groundskeeper, Thomas Logan, entered the estate drunk with a shotgun and revealed that James was his son with Elizabeth and not John’s. Logan tried to take Elizabeth and James with him but John intervened and James was forced to kill Logan when his powers emerged. Elizabeth was horrified at what had transpired and already mentally unstable after the death of her first son John Jr. she took the shotgun and committed suicide.

Left alone in the world James, who now called himself Logan, wandered the Canadian wilderness until he came upon a frontier town some ways away from his home and he met Silver Fox whom he fell in love with and was determined to live with her despite her people’s objections. On Logan’s birthday one year a man named Victor Creed came into town and killed Silver Fox and an enraged Logan was defeated by Creed calling himself Sabertooth and from that day on Logan vowed to kill Sabertooth one day.

In the years that followed Logan joined the Canadian Army and fought in WWI and as the war progressed Logan began drinking heavily to block out the pain or at least temporarily alleviate it. When the war ended Logan found himself in Mexico arrested for allegedly stealing a horse and was sentenced to death by firing squad. Another prisoner was tied to a post next to him and that person was Raven Darkholme, later known as Mystique, the guards fired but to their amazement both of them survived leading Logan to kill them all. After coming to Kansas City with Raven Logan learned she was planning a bank robbery and Logan was persuaded to join but when Raven’s plans fell through she ran and Logan resented her for leaving him to die.

When World War II broke out Logan once again found himself on the front lines but he wasn’t alone in the conflict this time. It was during the fight in Madripoor that Logan met Nick Fury, the future head of SHIELD, the Russian superspy Natasha Romanova, and Captain America, the First Avenger. Logan fought the Axis all over Europe but he was captured and held by the Japanese in Nagasaki and when he escaped he fell in love with a young woman named Atsuko but this affair was short lasted as she was soon murdered by another prisoner of the Japanese but perished during the bombing of Nagasaki but the US. Tired of the war and heartbreak that seemed to follow him Logan remained in the Orient and met an immortal Japanese warrior name Osun, who is the one who taught Sun Tsu his art of war, and offered to teach Logan as well and through Osun’s teachings Logan formed a deep love for Japan and all it could offer. Logan traveled to the village of Bando Saburo and fell in love with a local woman, named Itsu Akihiro and they married and Itsu was pregnant with Logan’s child but had not told him. Logan was happy but like all other times Logan’s happiness was short lived, when he returned home one day he found Itsu murdered and the culprit was the Winter Soldier and unknown to Logan a man known only as Romulus cut Itsu open and stole the child to raise as his own.

Logan left Japan soon after and came to the US for the first time since the Kansas City robbery and was recruited by the CIA for a special ops team called Team X which consisted of Logan, Maverick, Kestrel, Mastodon, and two people Logan never expected to see again…Sabertooth and Silver Fox. The whole team was subjected to mental manipulation during their time together and when the group disbanded Logan headed back to Canada. Logan was recruited for another special project which the members called Weapon X, the tenth experiment of the Weapon Plus Program. Logan was subjected to extensive memory manipulation and had an unbreakable metal called Adamantium bonded to his skeleton and with after being convinced he was nothing but an animal Weapon X dispatched him to kill anyone they deemed a threat but thanks to Winter Soldier Logan was able to escape but with little memory of his life before Weapon X and with the animalistic instincts Weapon X had instilled upon him.

Logan joined Department H’s hero team Alpha Flight which was considered Canada’s answer to the Avengers and fought with them for a time donning his famous blue and yellow suit during his tenure with the team. Sometime later Logan was approached by Professor Charles Xavier the most powerful telepath alive who made a deal with Logan, he would help him restore his memories or find out who did this to him in the first place and Logan would join the X-men in New York.}
