There were other ways to give something back to the world. One such way was to hold a ball. A very special ball. This one was public. Anyone in Star City could attend. It was hosted by Oliver Queen, who had insisted on making it a charity ball. It was completely in fancy dress, and those who wished to come had to make a donation to the Queen Foundation.
Naturally, a lot of big names in Star City turned up for the event, all in various costumes. Oliver, of course, was in his Green Arrow costume. He looked pretty much indistinguishable from the rest.

A a nice long limo pulled up at the Queen Mansion outside as everyone noticed. The paparazzi ran up to the limo to see who it is. Maybe it's a celebrity, a movie star, an artist? No it's not as the door opens and one person steps out...Tony Stark. Doned in the class attire for an event like this, he also has on trademark sun glasses. What was someone like him doing here in Starr City? Well he did hear about the event from one of Ollie's closet friends, heck, the man even lives here. Yes, he brought a very nice penthouse for Tony, Pepper and the kids. They loved it here in Starr City and so did Tony. Also coming out is the lovely Pepper Potts, Tony's wife, love and assistant at Stark Towers. The children were at home and keeping a good eye on the penthouse for their parents.
Taking her hand, Tony and Pepper left the limo as the driver closed the door behind them. Tony pulled an $1,000 dollar bill, giving it to the driver before him and Pepper left. The limo driver was shocked but very, very happy. Ignoring the rest of the paparazzi, Tony and Pepper greeted other guests as they walked by them before going inside. Tony was made for events like this and he wanted to look his best. For Pepper, she wasn't always like this when she became Tony's assistant but as time went by, and the more she knew Tony, she wanted to look her best too. A waiter came by as Tony took two glasses of champagne and gave one to Pepper before she thanked him. Tony smiled at Pepper, giving her a kiss on the cheek, wrapping his arm around her waist. |

"Alright, I'll see you later." Oliver said to his most recent dance partner, a lovely blonde woman. Several of his guests were muttering and pointing to the entrance. Someone obviously above their own social status had walked in. Why else would they point and whisper with such excitement? It was a surprise even to Oliver. Mr Tony Stark himself had walked in. The billionaire's billionaire indeed.
"This is a nice surprise. Tony Stark's decided to join us!" Ollie said, and was met with a round of applause and some cheers from the assorted dancers. "Good to have you with us." Ollie stuck out a hand, with the intention of shaking Tony's.

Going in, Tony could hear Ollie's voice before he and Pepper got a nice reaction from the crowd. Now the guy did not have to do that but since this is Oliver Queen, he can do whatever he wants. Tony welcomes it because he likes the attention given to him, giving the man total control and take over the scene. Tony respected Ollie and what he does for the town of Star City. What Tony did not know is that he is the Green Arrow, a hero vigilante that works with the Justice League. Tony works with the Avengers so he has met with some of them like Superman and even Batman (who is the biggest jerk in the world. The man has no respect for anyone and needs to be put in his place. People treat him god like but he's a freaking human).
Shaking Ollie's hand, Tony smiled before speaking. "Don't thank me man, I actually live here. I got a penthouse and I heard about it so I decided to come here but I am not alone" he said as he looked at Pepper Potts. "This is the beautiful Virigina Potts Stark...she's my lady...my wife" he said, introducing his wife to Oliver. Pepper smiled and shook Ollie's hand, showing her brightest smile that made Tony melt. "It's nice to meet you Oliver. I've heard a lot about you and your company that you own. I am the CEO of Stark Industries but Tony's mostly the guy in charge", she said as Pepper and Tony chuckled a bit. How Pepper remained CEO was a mystery to others? Why did Stark put his own wife at the head of Stark Industries. |
