It had been a rather hard day for Jean, since she had a mission that got her beat up. But she was able to patch herself up and not show she was hurting from the fight she had. But she was a taught girl and didn't really tell people she was in trouble, but there was one man she came to a lot. Sometimes for just something warm to drink, or just have a conversation. Jean treated a lot of people, but she felt like she could truly and openly trust Xavier with anything. They had known each other for years.
She still remembering being maybe about ten years old, and slowly he helped her to understand her powers. At first she hated her powers, people hated mutants because some were really bad. But she had met so many nice mutants that just want to be accepted, which was one of the reasons that she joined the Xmen. She had her dreams about being up there in rank. But really being an Xman rank didn't really matter to much. Because they were a family, and that really meant a lot to Jean. Since her family well at least her parents were dead.
And having love for both Logan and Scott, she grew lost in what to do with herself about it. So she decided to see if Charles was available to have a talk, Charles knew her very well. He didn't even really need to read her mind, he just knew her well enough to know a lot of different things. So right now she changed out of her xmen uniform and got into some warm clothing since it was kinda cold out. And went to his office, she took a deep breath and knocked on his door.

Charles heard the knock on the doors of his office. Using one hand up, the doors open slowly, thanks to his powers. The person revealed herself to be Jean Grey, a good friend of Xavier and who even works here at the school. “Ah Jean, come in”, he told her and smiled. It was almost yesterday when he and Erik first met Jean, a ten year old girl who had mutant powers and needed help. Erik had his differences with Charles over what to do with her and mutants. He was glad to know that Jean grew up, followed her heart and joined Charles instead of going to the side of Erik and his brotherhood of mutants.
Jean was like the daughter he never had. He treated the students like they were his own family including the X-Men. His dream of mutants working together was starting to come alive. “So…what can I help you with today Jean?”, he asked her. Knowing her for all these years, she had the same powers as he did. He could easily read her mind and suspect that she was trying to figure out who she really was. Charles could only sit back in his chair and listen to her speak, that’s all he could do. It was also a serious matter at hand, nothing to joke about.

She remembered when once upon a time Eric and Charles were actually friends, before they split off. Charles wanting to teach mutants in harmony, while Eric wanted to teach mutants to harness there powers to become bogymen. Sure humans had never liked them, never wanted them to ever come to there earth. But Eric had done so many horrible things, and it broke her heart that her dear friend Charles lost his own. She thought it was rather tragic, but figured it hurt to much to talk about it. Which was why she never brought it up at all, not then nor now.
"Hello Charles, I was hoping that you had time to talk? I know it's been a while since we have been able to have one of our heart to hearts, and I could really use someone to talk to. But only if your not busy since I know running the xmen and this school takes up the time" She said giving him a rather warm smile. Since she was always willing to come back later, but in case that he had the time she decided to walk over and sit down. She remembered when he could walk.
And when he became paralyzed she was there as well, offering her love. Love like you would a father. She admired him, if she had walked a lot of her life then something happens you were forced to lose it all. Jean had a feeling she would throw the "Pity" card. She admired Charles for all the right reasons, he was a best friend and a father to her. Which was nice since her parents had been dead for many years. Always good to know that she had family some place, and her parents always said it's not the blood that makes you family.

“No I am not busy Jean, please come in and take a seat” Charles told her as he folded his hands on the table, learning toward it. “Now what is it that you want to speak with me about?” he asked her. Charles would do anything for Jean and for Scott. He would do anything for his school of gifted arts, for the mutant community, just not for the criminals. He sat back and listen to Jean speak, not speaking.

That was the thing with Xavier he was a very open minded man, she had seen so many things. And saw the world through his eyes, if she hadn't been with Charles from a young age. If she had decided to join Eric instead of him, she would have been the number one enemy of the school. She enjoyed being an Xman, though it was a rather hard job. She would never give it up, and no one would scare her away from it. Jean was strong because of the faith of everyone and of course Logan and Scott.
"Sometimes I wonder how you do it Charles, I know a lot of the stories of everyone here. But you I have actually shared your pain, we have been through so much together. Sometimes I Just want to throw in the towel and end it all, but then I think about all those id be failing those id be losing. You give me a lot of strength Charles, your life was completely changed when you lost the ability to walk, yet you push on even harder. Your a symbol for this school, a father figure and a best friend to me and a few others"

“Thank you Jean”, Charles told her. “But if it wasn’t for you, Scott or the others then I wouldn’t be doing this. I wouldn’t be leading the way for this school and mutants around the world. I did this so that everyone can have a fair shot in life to do the right thing”, he explained to Jean. “And how I do it? Very simple, I don’t give up and I don’t quit. People would say that a bald guy in a wheel chair can do nothing, someone that’s very weak but they haven’t see anything yet”,Charles said, smiling a bit. It was true, people didn’t see anything yet from Charles and the X-Men. “But what’s really bothering you Jean?”

Jean smiled at what he said about himself and tucked her hand under her chin, her Brown eyes looking at his and thought about a hundred things. Charles knew her better then most, he didn't need to read her mind to know something was up. "Well those who would call you weak they don't know you, not like I do any way. Even if you were not a mutant you still could make a difference in our world" She said and when he asked her what was really bothering her. Putting her hands together, her elbows on her lap as she looked at him. "What do you do when your heart is torn between two people you love Charles. Ive tried to follow my heart, but it hasn't been working so well"

Love was not an easy subject for Charles. He and Moira couldn’t work things out but it didn’t bother Charles by any means. He had to move on with his life and forget about Moira, forget about the past. His love life right now was not important, it was the school he created for is now important, more than ever. For Jean, her love life was complicated. Charles could remember the times when Logan came, he and Scott did not like each other. Charles knew Logan had a thing for Jean and it bothered Scott that someone like Wolverine was getting close to his lady.
“My dear…the choice is up to you” Charles told her. “Only you are the one that can change the course of your life…you hold the key to that special someone in your heart” he explained. “Listen to what you’re heart wants and when it does…go after the person you love…let nothing and no one stop you. Do not let real love pass you by Jean” he told her and offered his advice to her. He loved Jean like one of his own and could not stand to see two men brake her heart or one of them. Charles would do tough love to both Scott and Logan if that happened.

She heard his words and here she was complaining about love and she had just remembered the relationship Charles had with Moira. Sighing a bit she looked down for a moment, it was always amazing how things happened as it went. Thinking about everything she had ever been through, and this was just out of hand. Nodding to what he said she smiled a little bit. Closing her eyes she ran her fingers in her hair, everything had hit her all at once. And right now she just didn't know what to do. He was right though about following her heart.
Life was always difficult and right now she looked up and looked into Charles eyes, taking a deep breath she reached over to his hand and squeezed it. Charles had been a father to her since she came to him, since her parents were dead she felt so happy to be with him. He truly was everything to her, and smiled a bit "Sometimes I wonder if we will ever know peace. I still remember when I had the choice to join you or Eric, I still remember the events of that day. Comes with having a good memory, I have no regrets"

"There will never be peace Jean in this world we live in" he told his good friend. It's true, because the world has not embraced the past and our mistakes. They just wanted to keep it going so that others would not move forward in there lives. It was sad to see the world as it is...so hateful and vile but that's how life can be. You can't trust those you don't know that well. With Jean, Cyclops, Logan, Storm, Rogue, he trusted them with his life. If anything would of happens to Charles then his school would be in great hands then. "And I don't regret bringing you here and recruiting you because it was the right thing to do" Charles said with a smile on his face. "You've done good work Jean but there's more to be done and I look forward to the future of not only this school but the X-Men as well" he said to Jean, being optimistic about what comes next.

She smiled at him and took his hand in hers "I know everyone works to make you proud of them, I don't really worry about the future to much. But don't plan on dying on us any time Charles because your a father to a lot of us, you have been there for me through everything. And it would be a shame to have something to happen to you" She said with kindness in her voice. She truly loved Charles he had been a father to her and a father to the kids as well for a long time.

"When my time is done on Earth, Jean, I will accept it" he said to the phoenix. "I am already proud of the work i've done, not just for you, the X-Men but mutants too. "And yes...I may be a father figure to everyone but you Jean have been like a daughter to me. I can remember when I first met you as a little girl with Erik and you captured my heart. I saw someone in need of help and guidance so looking at you now...I can say that I am proud of the woman you've become" Charles told her and smiled at Jean.

Jean was taken back by what he said, she couldn't help but smile at everything he said, she remembered the first time they met. That was a perfect memory about when she truly found her savior. Her parents had no idea what to do with her, though they loved her very much. They were not exactly mutant haters which was part of the reason why she didn't hate people. She had the love she needed, and Charles had always been by her side, when things got to bad. But taking a deep breath she reached over and stroked his hand.
"Thank you Charles, you have really been everything to me since I joined you as a kid. I thought after I lost my parents that was it, but you taught me that those under this roof are my family as well. And I am grateful to have such a loving place to be. "
