Betty had just gotten out of her doctors appointment and needed to get home to wash up, Bruce and them had been talking about having children. And she wanted to make sure that every thing in her was fine, and of course it was. She was rather healthy and had no problems what to ever, she even took a pregnancy test at the office which had to be sent out. It had been a couple months and decided it best to just go ahead and do it. She was excited about the future with Bruce but things were to change.
Hearing horns blazing she looked at what was coming, and saw a car coming at her going what looked about eighty miles an hour. She couldn't get out of the way in time and it pushed her car over the rail of the free way, she didn't get a chance to scream she was in shock. Her car landed right on the hood and her arm was pinned under her car. She screamed out in great pain, her heart was beating as blood poured out of her head. She had a small gash on her forehead, which scared her more.
She was in a lot of pain and she managed to get her cell phone, she just thought of Bruce. She dialed his number as tears fell down her face. "Bruce...I need help....my car flipped" She told him exactly where she was and hoped he could do something, her body was in shock and her heart pounding even more.

Bruce Banner was in his lab at the mansion working like he always does, on the Banner Tech equipment. While working his mind was on Betty like usual ever since that night, not only of going out but coming back to Betty’s place…making love for the first time. The two of them have been really close since that night, always talking on the phone, spending more time and they even talked about having a family one day.The old Bruce would of said no and ran the hell away because he didn’t want to hurt Betty or cause her more trouble. But the Bruce of today told Betty that he’s ready but they shouldn’t rush but only take it slow. They have the entire future ahead of them and good things were going to happen, Bruce knew that, so did Betty.
Suddenly his cell phone started to move, making a sound. Bruce stopped what he was doing and looked at the ID…it was Betty. The doctor smiled and pressed the green button, placing the cell phone next to his ear, but before he could answer, Bruce hears Betty’s voice. It sounded like she was hurt and in pain as Banner was started to get concern. Hearing that she needed his help…but that her car flipped over. Bruce was shocked and wasted no time to do what was necessary. “Where are you Betty? Talk to me baby” he said, hoping that she would hang on and tell Bruce her location. It would make Bruce mad and angry to see the people he loves get hurt or kicked to the curb. And then there was one other option and that was the Incredible Hulk.

She felt like she was going numb but being upside down it was hard to see anything, her brown eyes looked around looking for a sign. And noticed where she was she felt like she wanted to pass out, but wouldn't allow herself to do it. She needed to stay awake or risk losing her life. "I am on the freeway it's the one across from the YMCI down town new york." She said and felt the blood running down her face and was terrified but she had faith that he could get to her before other help could get there.

Once Betty told Bruce where she was at, Bruce nodded his head. “I’m on my way Betty. Just hang in there before I come. Once I get there, I will take you to the mansion to get help. I’m on the way right now…I love you” he told her and then hanged up. He put his phone on the table and went to a closer that was in the lab. Opening it, he took off his lab coat before grabbing a different kind of pants, one that was for him and the big guy. Quickly he changed wearing no shirt and only the pants and boots. Bruce walked out of the mansion and as he was out, Bruce started to close his eyes. Breathing in and out slowly, he got himself calm enough as his eyes open…full of green. His body started to change…getting more greener…bulk…strong and heavy too. He was no longer Bruce Banner, he was the one thing that people feared….. THE INCREDIBLE HULK He let out a monstrous roar that can be heard, not only in the city but around the world too. Bruce knew where Betty was as the monster inside of him leaped in the air way high before landed and jumped again. The Hulk would keep doing that until he found her. The Hulk would not stop, he and Bruce had a special place in there hearts for Betty. The Hulk regretted hurting Betty on that day he was created, he was so angry and mad that he didn’t even think. Minutes later, Bruce/Hulk landed and found the location before seeing her car. Hulk saw Betty and grunted. “BETTY!!!” he ran up to the car before stopping. Using both of his big and strong hands Hulk carefully flipped the car over to it’s normal setting. With his one hand Hulk ripped the door open before he saw the one woman who understood him more than ever. “Betty?” |

Betty heard him hang up and her heart just sank and didn't know why, her life flashed before her eyes when she got hit. So she had a taste of what dying was like, and she didn't want it. She started to lose consensus until she heard a roar. And that woke her up and she smiled knowing he was coming for her, she tried a couple times to free her arm but she couldn't. After a few minutes she felt a vibration and didn't know if it was Bruce or not, she figured it was.
Then she felt the car being moved she cried out when her arm was free, she saw how he ripped the door off and heard his voice. Her brown eyes looked into his green ones, even though her arm hurt a lot she moved it slowly and grunted a bit but she put her hand up to his cheek. She was covered in some deep cuts and the one on her head. "I'm alright sweetheart" She said he truly was her saving grace.

Hulk smiled as Betty placed his hand on the monster’s cheek. Hulk would not roar or yell tat Betty, not at this state when she’s hurt. He was glad that she was alright and knew his next move. “Hang on Betty” Hulk said as he took Betty in his arms, holding her close to him, feeling the warmth. “Hang on” he said again before he leaped up in the air and went back down, keeping it going until he reached The Avengers Mansion. Ross would have had a field day with this and sent his army to attack Hulk or say that Hulk killed his daughter. Bruce may not have liked the man but Hulk hated his guts. Hulk wanted nothing more but to snap Ross’s neck in two. He could not do that because of puny Banner but most important, Betty. She needed her father despite how there relationship went.
The two of them finally arrived at the mansion as Hulk landed safely with Betty in his arms still. Then suddenly Hulk started to change back slowly into Bruce Banner, the normal guy. He still had Betty in his arms as he went into the mansion, straight to the medical room. He laid Betty down on a hospital bed before he looked at her. “It’s gonna be alright Betty, just hang in there and I will help you” he told her but smiled. Bruce was glad that Betty wasn’t in total damage. Bruce AND The Hulk would lose it and take it out on everyone including the mansion if Betty was so hurt. Whoever was responsible for this, he or even she would pay. Once he got everything he looked at Betty. “Okay baby…where does it hurt?” he asked his lover and girlfriend.

She felt him picking her up like she weighed nothing, and looked up at him and heard what he said, resting her head on his green chest. She closed her eyes as she trusted him completely allowing him to leap back to the mansion. She would have suggested to go to the hospital, but new how that would go. And wouldn't put him through that. And she opened up her eyes and saw how fast he was, she was just glad that Bruce had control and was glad that the big guy was so willing to help her like this.
Then he turned back once he got her back and asked where she was hurting, she grunted a bit moving her arm. "Think I broke a couple of ribs and busted up my arm" Lifting up her shirt her chest was covered in bruises. Looking at him she sighed a little bit looking at her arm she thought she sprained it or at least broke it some how. "And my head is killing me though its just a cut" She said and looked at Bruce and using her good hand stroked his cheek. "I figured you and the big guy could get me faster then an ambulance..."

“Good thinking on your part Betty” he said with a small smile on his face. Bruce started to get the medical stuff and started working on his lover. He found where the pains were coming at as Bruce just looked at Betty, to make sure she was alright. Betty throughout the ordeal was strong and tough, just like her old man. Guessing from Bruce, since Betty is a Thunderbolt, which she got from her dad. “You’re going to be just fine Betty…trust me” he said while he worked. He placed the patch on her head and started putting big band aids on her ribs and arms.
“Ok…that…should…do it” he said before he stopped and looked at Betty. “I’m all done Betty. I patched up everything so you need to take it slow for the next couple of weeks, then see how you’re doing” he told Betty and yes Bruce was playing the role of Doctor Banner. He was not a surgeon or something like that but he could try to be one, it still would not work out. Bruce could feel the stress coming off of him as he looked at his lover. “But for now you’re going to stay here…and I will be the one that takes good care of you” he said in a serious but loving tone as he smiled a bit.

She didn't know what was going to happen but she watched him patch her up, she smiled watching him and was wrapped up for her ribs, she hurt like hell and looked at him. Taking her good hand sh e reached up and stroked his cheek. She was afraid to move since she knew she was going to hurt a lot, taking a deep breath she moved up and kissed him softly on the lips. Showing she loved him and was thankful for him, and looked into his eyes. It was amazing what he could do, he could do what he set his mind to.
"Thanks sweet heart, though I do feel like Ive been hit by a truck" She laughed softly which caused her pain and she winched a bit.

Her hand was on his cheek, as Bruce felt comfort from Betty. Just by looking at her, she looked a bit banged up but still beautiful. He heard what Betty said and Bruce just nodded his head. “Your welcome but to be honest I was scared…when you called me…it seemed like you were in pain and hurt” he told her. “Thank god I came when I did because if I didn’t…” he trailed off what he was saying. He knew he shouldn’t think like that but Bruce cared so much about Betty. He had so much love and strong feelings for her, he didn’t want to see her die.

She put her finger over his lip and smiled "I am hurt pretty badly Bruce pain wise but I will be okay, my arm was starting to get numb so I know the car was pinching it in a way. An ambulance would have taken to long and I most likely would have lost my arm. But you and the big guy helped me, I love you two very much. I have a feeling I will be in bed a few weeks. Hurts to breath, but like I said I will be okay" She slowly sat up grunting from pain and kissed him.

"And you will Betty. You're one of the strongest woman i've known since we first me. It amazes me how you can get back up after taking all of that in. The danger and violence...you're survivor Betty and I mean that from the heart" he said as he gave her an embrace that was lovingly sweet before he pulled back to look at her. "But what happen? Was there something in front of the road or did someone hit you?" he asked her. If someone did hit her, that person will have hell to pay but lucky to not be in this room right now

Betty sat up on the table grunting a bit, and feeling his body close to her made her really happy, and then when he embraced her she looked up into his eyes. "It happened so fast" She closed her eyes and replayed everything that happened. "I heard horns honking and knew something was wrong, I noticed a car coming at me about 80 miles per hour. I tried to get out of the way but there was no way, and it T boned me and flipped my car onto the road under the high way. I saw a glimpse of him and I know his License Plate it was a hit and run"

Bruce shook his head, and could not believe someone would do something like this, but who? Certainly not her father, even though he hates Bruce a lot. But what if he did do it? Or hired someone to finish the job? Those were questions for the next time but right now all that mattered was Betty.He closed his eyes and sighed, refusing not to get angry which the big guy would want and tear off the person's head. "I'm sorry to hear that Betty but right now you should focus on your recovery. Let me take care of everything for you"

She could tell that he was getting angry and realized just how much Bruce and the Hulk really care for her, sure she knew but this just showed what they were willing to do. Looking into his eyes she placed her hands on his cheeks and looked at him. "Shhh sweet heart it's alright, I know you and hulk want to keep me protected and you both do a hell of job of it" She said happily. "I am okay I will heal" She said happily and kissed him softly on the lips, smiling happily at him. Holding him close.
