In downtown Manhattan it was dark outside ,it was raining as well. Clint Barton was walking down the street as in the need of a drink ,just like any other person who was out this night. He passed people and walked fast to make sure he wouldn`t turn out looking like a drowned cat. As he entered a bar he looked around. The bar wasn`t crowded,which suited Clint just fine. He walked over to the counter and ordered a bottle of beer. He took a seat and it didn`t take long before he got his order. He payed the bartender and took a sip of his beer.
For once it felt good just being by himself grabbing a beer and have nothing to worry about. Clint heard the door open ,but he didn`t bother to turn and see who entered the bar. He took another sip of the beer and held the bottle in his hand.The music playing in the background was classic rock music. He slightly looked around in the bar before he took another sip of the beer and sighed softly.

She pulled up to the bar and finding a park before turning off the car. Getting out she inhaled the crisp air before she closed the door, using her car keys to lock all of them. She went inside the bar and opened the door, going inside. Kate Bishop just got off her shift, not the one as The Knightress but community service which she loves to do. Kate loves to help people every day and get them informed for important things such as voting, registration, etc, At least it didn't involve firing off arrows at criminals, that was for the night only. She looks around, seeing the regular folks until Kate see's Clint and smiles. She hasn't heard from him in a couple of months, probably since the battle of Manhattan which was understandable. She was in the battle herself and fought like hell against Loki and his alien army, showing Hawkeye and the others that Kate Bishop wasn't to be messed with. Walking up to Clint, she took a seat next to him and ordered a beer from the bartender. "Well hello Clint" she said to him. "What's my mentor doing here all alone?" she asked as the bartender gave her a beer. |

Sitting by the counter sipping beer, Clint turned his head as he heard someone saying his name. He smiled as he knew the person. "Hey Kate ". Clint said and looked at her as she had taken a seat next to him,grabbing a beer as well. "Ah just..grabbing a beer and relaxing" he said to Kate and smiled softly. "What are you doing here tonight ?" he asked her and looked at her. He held onto the beer bottle before he put it up to his lips again and took another sip of it. After Loki`s alien attack, Clint just wanted to take it easy. He hadn`t spoken to Kate in a couple of months now,so he was glad to see her here.
He smiled at his student. "How are you doing ?" Clint asked her and smiled some. The music kept playing in the background and more people had entered the bar as well, and Clint didn`t mind Kate`s company tonight.

“I’m doing good, just hanging in there. Lately everything’s been quiet…too quiet if you ask me. There’s not enough criminals to put through with bows and not enough ass to kick to be honest” she told Clint before taking a sip of her beer. Kate always wanted to go against the best criminals as The Knightress and prove herself more. She was hungry, motivated but focused too. Kate had a lot in her future but knew everything would not come easy. She was a rich spoiled brat thanks to her dad but it didn’t mean Kate was full of it. Taking another sip of her beer, she looked at Clint. “Anything new for you recently?” she asked Clint. These days it was starting to come back to normal and that was fine but Kate wanted more. Just like before, she is hungry and motivated. |

Clint looked at her and smiled some. It was nice to hear that she was doing okey. "Yeah i can agree on that it`s been very quiet around here lately.." he told Kate and sipped more of his beer. "But i`m sure that something will appear soon..it always does.." he said as well and smiled some. Clint also felt the need of wanting to kick some ass,he was starting to get a bit bored just walking around with nothing happening.
He looked over at Kate,"Nothing much has happen really..just watching the days pass by" he said to Kate and smiled some. He looked around some in the bar and sighed softly. He took another sip of the beer. " It`s good to see you again though " he said to her and smiled.

Kate smiled back. "And it's good to see you here in one piece too Barton. Just try and keep it that way" she said, half joking but half serious too. Kate could first remember meeting Clint in archer class in the college she attended. She became interested in something new because of the subject. Clint was a great guy but she did hear the name Clint Barton but just not Hawkeye. She did some reseach and Kate was right, he was the man who is not only a part of SHIELD but also The Avengers too. Kate wanted to learn more from Clint but Barton didn't want to risk her life. As time went by she proved herself to Clint that she was ready. There's only one Hawkeye and that is Clint Barton, not Kate. Some called her Hawkeye Jr because of the bows and arrows she had on when it came to battle but she liked the name Knightress more.One because it wasn't a cop out like Hawkeye and the name brought some meaning to it too. Does her parents know about what she does? Yes and no, depending on their busy schedules. |

Clint looked at Kate and smiled at her comment. "yeah i`ll do my best to stay alive " he said and grinned at her. He drank his beer and looked over at Kate. He remembered the first time he had seen her in his archer class at the college. He had gotten impressed with her since the first day she started practicing. She had even become more skilled during the years, he could tell after seeing her joining them at the alien attack.
He took another sip of his beer and grabbed some peanuts from the little bowl on the counter next to him and chewed it. He looked back at Kate, "So Kate, have you been practicing some more lately ?" he asked her and stuffed some more peanuts in his mouth.

“Sometimes I do sometimes I don’t” he told Clint honestly. “I mean yes as much as I like to practice and shoot at stuff I have other jobs beside that. But I still do it just shake off some rust” she told her mentor before asking for some peanuts too. The bartender gave her some and it was the ones she loves the most, both salted and roasted. It was a family tradition handed from her mom down onto Kate, and even though she was on a diet and worked out a lot, she would buy some at the store. There’s no harm in eating some good you like to eat. “Hey mamacita. What’s banging?” asked the voice of some guy as Kate turned, looking confused. “I’m sorry do I know you?” she asked as the guy continue laugh, and looked like a Latino. “Nah but if we go to my place tonight…then it would be a good time to know each other” he said as Kate sighed and shook her head. “Sorry…i’m not interested” she answered but suddenly the guy grabbed her arm violenty and Kate punched him the face as the guy fell down. Kate stood up and stared down at him. “Don’t you ever touch me!” she said and yelled as the guy just ran off and away from the bar. She then looked back at Clint. “I can’t believe he just did that! Jerk!” she said, so frustrated. |

Clint looked at Kate as she spoke,he sipped his beer some more as well. "Yeah i do practice some as well when i got nothing else to do " he said to her and smiled some. The both sat there eating peanuts. Clint grabbed another handful from the bowl and ate some more, he took another sip of his beer and looked over at Kate. "So how is your lovelife going then, any luck there ?" he asked Kate and smiled some.
He looked over at some guy who came over at where they were sitting,started bothering Kate. Clint reacted a bit when he started grabbing onto Kate`s arm,but then she just punched him and it seemed like she could take care of it herself. Clint grinned at that as he just took off after she yelled at him.
Clint shook his head and looked over at Kate "Yeah what a total prick " he said to her and sipped his beer some more. "Don`t think he`s gonna try again " he said and smirked some.

"You got that right" Kate said to Clint before taking a sip of beer. That encounter almost took Kate off guard and realize that anything could of happen. "If I had my arrows and he ran away then I would take the perfect shot. Payback...you know how it goes" she told him. In her mind, she knew that maybe that one moment in her life when she was attacked could happen again but with Clint and others in this bar, the guy would be thrown out of here. Yes Kate can defend herself but sometimes people were desperate to pull out tricks.
"Can I tell you something?" he asked her mentor and friend. "I almost had flashbacks of what happen the night I was...you know" she said and hinted to Clint. She told him a long time ago before Kate joined Clint, SHIELD and the rest of The Avengers so he should remember. Kate didn't like talking that much about the incident and if she had the arrows then the man would suffer, paying the ultimate price. She looked at Clint again, "I'm sorry, it's just that idiot was trying to hit on me for something" Kate said, looking into her eyes.

Clint sipped more of his beer and ate more peanuts and looked at Kate and smiled some. He had always liked Kate and the way she was. "Yeah it would`ve been a great shot but it`s not worth waisting arrows on a coward like that " he said and smirked a bit. He looked around some and finished his beer and asked the bartender for another one and a shot to go with.
He looked over at Kate,"Yeah of course you can tell me something , i`m all ears " he said and smiled to her softly. When she started talking about almost having flashbacks from the night and the incident that happened, Clint looked down a bit and knew that it was something she could never erase from her memory.
Clint gently put his hand on Kate`s shoulder and looked at her. "I`m never gonna let anything like that happen to you again Kate, i got your back and just let me know if there`s anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable " he said and looked into her eyes.
