It had been around a week or two since Joker had found his Harley again. He'd given her a choice. A choice as to whether or not she would come back to him. She had been given one month to decide. Seeing as how he hadn't seen her since that night - and a very good night that had been - Joker was grumpy. He'd been grumpy since the day following that night, in all honesty, but he'd been planning since then. Planning and plotting and deciding all kinds of things. He'd been out, he'd been locked in the only room in the whole building with a damn desk, he'd been locked out once... That was an accident, though... Well, it had been on Joker's part. One of the goons - Bam - had decided to hide Joker's keys. The only reason the kid was still alive was because Joker hadn't realised it until after the little sod had given them back and then gone into hiding. There was a reason he'd survived since just before Joker had gone away... He knew when to run off and hide.
But today, Joker, Bam, Clip, Snap and Sparky were lounging around. The others were doing jobs. The ones with Joker were the most trusted and talented of the goons... They were also some of the ones who'd lasted the longest - along with Brute, Squeaky and Stitch... All of them had something he needed from them. None of them were people who could be easily replaced, unfortunately... Bam would have been killed many times if he could find another explosives expert who worked so well with Joker...
Joker was spread out on - well, draped over - one of the sofas. His gaze on the television, which was talking about... Actually, Joker had no idea what the news was talking about. Probably him... Or the Bat... Or some other costumed, masked, make-up covered nut. Joker wouldn't have been surprised. That seemed to be all the news ever had to offer... Hardly surprising given Gotham City was the home of many, many people that could easily be called nuts. It wouldn't have been a surprise for one of them to appear on the news...
"Can't we put on cartoons? I'm pretty sure Tom an' Jerry's on..." Bam called from the other side of the room, making Joker grunt in reply. The teenager pulled a face before running over, stealing the television remote quickly from next to Joker and running back to where he'd been before. If Joker could be bothered, he would have yelled at the seventeen year old, but Joker was feeling lazy and so no yelling occurred. Instead, he tilted his head back and closed his eyes while Tom and Jerry played in the background.
((Notes: it was going great... Then it died. Sorry.))

Sure she had talked to Jim first, but that didn’t change what she felt like she had to do now. She left work a little early. One month, two more weeks and she had to make a choice, if not before. However, she knew what was right. She needed to see Joker, she needed to talk to him to explain everything to him and tell him how things were going to be if he wanted her around. Hopefully he was going to understand, but there was no reason for him to. The young woman placed her last bag in the taxi cab and sat down.
What would he say? What would he do? Would he be happy that she was coming back? Should she stop what she’s doing and leave? She scooted over to the window and looked up at her apartment. The small place where she felt so safe, so at home only a couple weeks ago. However, now it felt so alone, so dangerous so. Well it was hard to explain. Her hand rested on the window and she closed her eyes. It was home, someplace she loved. She loved her work, but if she loved it so much why was she willing to leave it? It was like tow different lives. Each had the plus sides.
“West Docks Warehouse.” There she went, down the path were there was no return. Her fingers lightly touched ran down the glass. Staying, she would have support, a net work of friends. They would find her a new apartment. Jim would be like a father, and she would have good friends that would put their lives on the line for her. Just to keep her safe and sound. It would be an encouraging and loving environment for her.
With the Joker. She would be loved, they would be a complete family, and no longer a broken one. She would have her babies. He would hold her at night, they would cuddle until the sun came up. There would be explosions, death, and everything else that came with that. Was that something she wanted? Was it something she needed? Was it right for her to go back after she had been cured? Then again. Even the doctors thought she would break being around the Joker. Perhaps they were right. Maybe she was broken and unable to resist him.
The car jerked into motion and Harley sat up, it would be a long ride, and between her fingers she rolled and unrolled a small piece of paper. What was she going to do just walk in there? Well, what else is there? She would just have to walk in there and see what happened. Hopefully she would see her babies. Hopefully he would be happy to see her again. Harley ran her fingers though her hair and once the building was in view. She knew she was making a mistake. Though she couldn’t say anything. She didn’t say a word as her bags were unloaded from the cab and placed on the ground. She paid the man some money and walked just inside the warehouse with one of her bags in her hands.
It was dark, though the sound of cartoons could be heard though out. She followed them into the living area. Standing there Bam noticed her first, she was just smiling at them with a longing look in her eyes. Her head was cocked to the left and she walked slowly towards them “Boss Look.” She waited for Joker to look at her and she froze. Was he going to be mad at her? Was he going to be happy? “Puddin’ I’m home.”
((612 words of Harley, hopefully that works))

Joker hadn't moved while the others were watching cartoons. Actually, Clip may have been asleep... Joker didn't know, nor care. He didn't need to. The goons were happy - well, busy - and that meant Joker could remain completely and utterly within his own twisted, warped and somewhat confusing thoughts... Confusing only if you weren't used to them. Seeing as how Joker was, though, he found it more like trying to find his way through a maze of words, ideas, images and plans. If his mind had been an actual building, it would probably have been quite confusing and full... As it was, though, Joker's mind wasn't a building and therefore he only had to navigate the thoughts in a mental space instead of a physical one.
Being pulled from his thoughts at Bam's voice, Joker gave another noise to let the teen know he'd heard him. It was probably nothing interesting anyway... At the next voice, though, Joker's eyes open and a grin spread across his lips. She was home. Joker looked at her as best he could from his spot on his sofa and giggled with the grin on his lips before he stood and moved towards her. Now the twin sisters - Clip and Snap - were watching. They knew how Joker had been recently, especially since they always seemed to turn up where Joker was just after the worst of it had passed. They'd probably already guessed what had caused it, too...
"Welcome home." He greeted her, grin growing as much as it could. And to think, Joker had almost thought that she wouldn't come home... That was silly, though. So silly. They both knew she couldn't live without him. She'd practically said as much when they found each other... Well, she'd said she didn't know what to do without him. It was close enough for Joker... Close enough for him to have expected her to come back normally, so what had changed...
Oh, that was obvious...
He said nothing about his thoughts, though, and instead looked at her bag. One bag? Was she travelling light or something? His confusion showed on his face.
"One bag?" He questioned, raising his eyebrows with curiosity. Hearing Bam snort from his seat after Joker spoke, Joker glanced over at the teenager, who seemed to take the hint as he went back to watching the cartoon. That was good. Bam was always better when he wasn't paying attention to what was going on with Joker and Harley... And this seemed like one of those times, actually...
"More outside?" Clip asked, standing up with her twin from their shared seat. Bam moved after them as Joker looked at them then at Harley and waited for her answer. Well, seeing as how these three had gotten up, then they could help her with her bags if she wanted the help. Joker didn't doubt that they'd gotten up for that reason... Well... Clip and Snap probably had, at any rate. They could take Sparky, too. Bam seemed to be in the process of waking Sparky up, actually, with small slaps and 'Sugar, wake up' repeatedly. Why didn't he just sit on him?
Joker didn't bother to suggest this, though glanced at the twins as though one of them should before he looked at Harley with another, almost loving, grin. She was here. She was home... He could only have been happier if she'd come baring gifts...
((Notes: Blerg, sorry. I wanted to get this done before I went to sleep. It's now 9:29am. I started on this reply about four or five hours ago... x-x 574 words, though. Hope you can do something with it...))

The smile caused her heart to almost glow. He was happy to see her. There was something in that that made her smile lovingly back. She wasn’t sure how she would be received. He could have thrown things at her, yelled that she took to long, the goons could have tossed her out. Or she could have been off handedly greeted. However, not this time. She walked slowly towards him until she was standing in front of him. A hand reached out and rested on his hip as the other went to his chest, she stepped into an almost embrace with the man she loved. Yes, she loved him.
“Thank you..” She said her eyes studying him, almost lost in his dark orbs. She was about to answer when Chip spoke. Her attention was for a moment derived away. She nodded to the twins and looked back at Joker, her hand brushing some of his hair away. She had missed him, and this, him like this, it seemed so rare, when he just loved her, needed her. It was nice to see, nice to experience. Jim was wrong, Joker would never lie to her, he cared, he cared more than anything else.
“I have more outside…” She smiled at the twins as they walked past to get her bags. She set hers on the ground and went back to just being with Joker. In the past the Goons has told her she was the sticky center that held the gang together. That she was the mother that kept everything in check. She normally made friends with the goons, and anyone that seemed to take any kind of sexual interest in Joker ended up dead. She never admitted to killing them, but honestly, she would, in a heart beat.
“I broke into the army warehouse last night.” She looked at the ground a little embarrassed by that fact perhaps but never the less she had. The young woman had heard the news reports. One of the reports that Joker hadn’t been listening to in fact. A woman had broken into their supplies, and had stolen.. Well, he would see. She went there thinking if Joker was mad at her she could appease him with something to play with. That was a good idea right? Harley leaned up and pecked his lips after the goons had vanished to grab her bags. “I brought you some new toys.” She smiled a little her hands still holding his, she didn’t want to lose this moment, but she thought she might the moment she told him she went thieving.
Though there was also more to why she had done what she had done. She wanted to get caught and taken to jail, sure, but more than that. She wanted to give him something to focus on. Something that wasn’t going to be what she had to say to him. ((I forgot to count out the words, but it's a rather short post sorry ))

As her hands came forward, Joker momentarily wondered what she was doing before she moved into an embrace. He really needn't have wondered whether she'd come back or not. His grin had momentarily fallen from his face due to the confusion however, with one arm around her shoulders, the grin returned as she thanked him. As if he would have done anything else when his Harley Quinn had just come home to him... She was most definitely his still...
As Harley spoke to the twins, who went to get the other bags, Joker giggled softly. They knew what to do without Joker even needing to ask! That was why he liked those two so much... They knew what to do. They did what they knew they should... It was helpful when Joker didn't need to tell them what to do - especially when it was obvious. So his attention was turned back to Harley, just in time for her to start speaking. She'd broken into an army warehouse? Joker was proud already...
Joker's grin wided after the peck as she continued to talk. Oh yes, Joker was happy. His Harley had come back and she'd brought gifts! Was it his birthday or Christmas? Probably neither but he could wonder, right? Right! Of course he could. He was Joker. He could do pretty much anything. Except fly without a plane or helicopter, but he was working on that. Or rather, he would work on that at some point. He just had to remember next time he had a hint of free time.
"Oh Harley," Joker began, grinning as he moved to get a little bit closer to her. "You know how to make a clown happy..." He said then giggled softly and bit his bottom lip. Even though he really didn't like waiting, Joker would for this. Probably only this he would ever wait for... Well, this and any plans he had. Then he had to wait. Well, then and now really... Hm. Guess he'd only wait when he absolutely had to...
Looking at the goons as they came back in, Joker looked from Harley, with a grin of glee, to the bags and back again before raising his eyebrows expectantly. He had no idea where she'd hidden the new toys, so there was no point in him rooting through her bags. Best let her do it. Joker didn't normally go rooting through women's bags anyway. It wasn't that he was scared, but more that he had no idea what he'd find and bags always seemed to be bigger when they weren't his. It was... Strange... But now he would wait for her to get the toys. He was looking forward to seeing them...
((Notes: Sorry! I dislike this. It's terrible. It's 455 words and I struggled to write that much. I don't think my brain likes Joker/Harley anymore... XD))

Of course she knew how to make him happy. She loved him she wanted nothing more than to be with him. Her hands ran over his body and she pulled away. The small woman picked up a huge bag and started towards the docks with his hand in hers. “I promise, you will love this. I saw it and thought ‘Puddin’ loves these and I know he lost his last one.’” Honestly, that didn’t narrow down what she got him. Considering she spent a good deal of time finding things for him. Once outside she slowly set down her bag and started to rifle though it.
Inside she set down some rifles, hand guns, hunting knives. All in a row from largest to biggest. “Puddin’, I do need to talk to you about somethin’ important.” Her eyes looked up at Joker. She was nervous, her body trembling a little. What was she going to say? How was she going to say it. Well, she knew what she needed to say, but she didn’t want to say it to him. Would he be happy, would he be angry? She didn’t now. However. Harley pulled out a rocket launcher from her bag and held it out to him, still kneeling. She acted as though it was an offering to a God.
Then again, with weapons he normally liked using them on someone almost right away. She was the only one outside, well, unless you counted Pickles on the docks fishing. He might count, after all it was just a rocket launcher. Harley watched him with the gun for a moment and she slowly stood, slipping behind him the woman’s small arms wrapped around his waist. A small kiss to the back of his neck as he played with his new toy. “I need to get more rockets, I couldn’t carry much more..” Honestly she just wanted to go on a heist with him soon. Just to kill some people, maybe make out a little, all depended on his mood. Well, and hers if she was honest.
“Mr. J…” She pulled back resting her hands on his hips. “I’m pregnant.” She said it quickly and just waited. Would he back hand her? He’d done that several times in the past when she interrupted things. However, she had been hoping that all the toys and her coming back would counter any hard feelings about her being with child. The one thing she didn’t think he actually wanted. What if he decides she should get rid of it? What if he decides to kill her? What if this was a huge mistake? She didn’t know what to say or do. Though she waited. Her eyes on the ground, refusing to look up at the man she loved.

As she picked up the bag, Joker's eyes widened with happiness. It was a big bag, from an army warehouse. This was going to bed good. Well, good for Joker if no one else. He loved his weapons... He followed her willingly as she held his hand and began leading him towards the docks. She had weapons. He was hers for whatever she wanted to do - within reason - for as long as she had the weapons. He was tempted to take the bag from her, though. He didn't, because that would probably be rude and she might tell him off... Let's face it, if Joker got hold of that bag, he'd try to look inside it. He was like a kid at Christmas right now.
Watching her as she set it down and began to rifle through it, Joker's mind began flooding with thoughts of what it could be. Guns? Bazookas? Explosives? Did they hold explosives in warehouses for the army? Hm... To be honest, Joker didn't really know that the army had a warehouse... Aside from recently, Joker had never chosen to explore the docks and the warehouses. It wasn't something that he had ever really considered doing, either. He'd always been busy before... Imagine what they could have found before now if they'd gone looking! Oh well. They'd have to go looking after today. Maybe they could look today! Yes. Joker liked that idea. He liked it very much.
He began pacing a little with giddy impatience as she set down items. His gaze fixated on the hunting knives in particular, causing him to barely register what she was saying for a moment before it actually wormed its way through the thick fog of glee and into his brain. Important? The Bat? No, probably not. Please let it not be the commissioner. Joker really didn't want his mood spoiled by a talk on how they shouldn't hurt dear Jim Gordon. Besides, if Joker got his way then he'd do a lot more than just hurt Gordon... Of course, that was in an ideal world where he could lock the commissioner up in cage, probably, and try breaking him down one day at a time with... Whatever would work... Oh, that would be fun. He should write that down somewhere...
Instead, Joker's attention was caught by the rocket launcher. Giggling, Joker took it. It had obviously been too long since he'd last had a rocket launcher in his hands - and for good reason.
"Is it my birthday?" He asked, a hint of a joke teetering on his words before he began laughing. He felt her arms around his waist and glanced at her over his shoulder, his lips spread into a grin before his head was bowed and he was back to playing with the rocket launcher and seeing whether or not it was ready for him to fire already. If it hadn't been, he was currently making sure it was. "We can take the goons later and find some... Take the van..." He paused and looked up, now thinking. Hadn't the other goons taken the van? "... Take the other van." He corrected himself, his voice low before he went back to admiring the launcher. She could have said anything as he lifted the launcher to aim, the left side of his face screwing up as he took aim at something - was that a goon? - and giggled again. She said his name, moving her hands as she did so, and Joker made a noise to show he'd heard her as his got ready to pull the trigger.
"I'm pregnant."
Joker had been about to press the trigger when he heard the words. His mind went momentarily blank and his finger squeezed the trigger. With a loud bang, and two flashes from either end of the launcher, the ammunition was launched and Joker stumbled a little from the push. Well, that worked. Joker's mind wasn't on that at the moment, though. He turned slightly, slowing moving to look at her. His arm with the launcher dropping at the same speed as he moved to look at her.
"... What?" He asked gruffly, the launcher and other toys now forgotten completely, despite the yell that had come from whoever it was Joker had aimed at when he'd seen the rocket flying towards him. Joker was sure Harley had just said... But that was ridiculous! When could tha- Oh. Right. Yeah.
Joker's tongue darted out to dampen his bottom lip slightly and he stared at her. Mini-clown. There was going to- No! There couldn't be a mini-clown! Joker didn't say anything as his brain became clogged with thoughts - primarily 'what the hell have we done?' - and stopped itself working. Fantastic.
((Notes: 796 words. Hope you like it! And Joker's aiming and firing faces. The more I watch that, the harder I laugh.))

“Nope Not your birthday. Not for another few months.” In which she would bake him a huge cake, pop out of it like every where, wearing something to hopefully get his motor going. You know, to rev up his Harley? Her hands rubbed his hips gently her hands kneading his skin with a little smile. It was so nice to see him happy. To just feel him in a relaxed state. There was no planning, no worries, just a rocket launcher about to make a pretty explosion, and the idea that they might go get more ammo. Her hands moved to his stomach, then his lower stomach when he giggled and pressed the button. Yes, they would go out again, and get ammo. But first she had to say something that would ruin his fun. Wait Maybe not! Maybe he would be excited or accepting, or maybe he wouldn’t hear her?
“Mr. J…. I’m pregnant.” He grunted when she said his name. Typical, but it was what happened after that told her breath away. He didn’t seem happy, he didn’t look like a delighted father to be. He looked like someone who was in shock? Well that could be expected right? He didn’t expect her to have a child. He never wanted one, he wanted to just keep killing and not have to worry about such things. But this, this was a sign of love, their love! They needed to keep the child, they loved each other and they would love their baby more than anyone could even think. Her hands stayed on his waist as he spun. Though once she got a clear look in his eyes, she slowly back up one step and looked away. Her hands resting just over her stomach.
“I said I’m pregnant… We are going to have a baby.” The words were spoken softly, incase he didn’t’ hear her. No, that wasn’t the reason, it was incase he didn’t want the baby. He would yell and hit and, or would he be happy. It was hard to tell she wanted happy. So she convinced herself that no matter what happened he was happy about the child. Perhaps in shock of scared what might happen but he would be a great father.
Just to think, they could teach the child how to shoot at Batman. Oh, she would take pictures at the baby’s first bank robbery, or killing. Awww, the baby’s first goon killing, ooor the first time they blew something up. It would be wonderful. Seeing a small child run around, perhaps even getting her things when she was driving. Like handing Mommy her gun. Oh yes, it’s what she wanted, a baby. Her hands rubbed her stomach a little protectively. She wanted nothing more than to be a mother to their child. However, she didn’t know what he was thinking.
“I am not that far along yet.. I found out a couple days ago.” She looked down at the ground. “I had to pack, and get your presents before I came.. It’s great news though right?” She slowly looked up at him with a shy smile. She wasn’t sure what he would say, she was hoping that it was going to be good. Right? Her hands reached up and gently touched his face. “I love you Mr. J… I want to have this baby with you…”

At the softly spoken words, Joker stared at her before narrowing his eyes. Now his brain had started working again, he could actually consider a lot of things... Like how they wouldn't be having a child. No chance. They wouldn't know what to do with one if they had it! Well... Joker wouldn't know what to do with one if they had it. Harley would probably know exactly what to do. It was like she had an idea for everything! Almost everything, anyway. He didn't think she'd figured out a use for the pile of junk that used to be at the old place... Used to in that Bam and Joker had accidentally blown it up. Oh well, they could make a new junk pile and somehow work every single bit of it into something or another. Wasn't hard. Anyway, back to the situation at hand: Harley was pregnant and, of course, wanted to have this baby....
She carried on speaking, Joker having not decided to interrupt her, as she explained what, seemingly, had happened since she'd found out. He wasn't really that interested in what had happened. It wasn't like it was going to change what was going on right now... He didn't answer her question of whether or not this was good news, though looked at her with an expression of a definite 'no' on his painted feautres. Why the heck would this be good news?! Oh, right, because she wanted a child. That would be why this would be good news for her... Joker had never wanted a child, though. Rather, not since becoming The Joker. Before? Well, it was possible but not probable...
As her hands came up to touch his face, Joker felt himself jerking his head away. Her words didn't do anything to improve his mood, though. And to think, minutes before he'd been so happy... Funny how things could change so quickly.
"No." He said bluntly. Maybe being blunt wasn't the best but it would get the message across pretty well, he thought. His tongue darted out to dampen the corners of his lips as he looked down at her, a rather dark expression coming over his features. "We are not having a baby." He almost growled, leaning a little towards her. His mind was made up, unfortunately for Harley, and he knew exactly what he wanted her to do with the cluster of cells that may - though Joker hoped wouldn't - become a life. Time would tell.
((Notes: Sorry this is so short and took so long. My J muse has been difficult recently... D: Hope this is okay, though...))
