Skipping through a clothes store with a grin on her features, Jenna giggled softly. She wasn't actually looking for clothes, despite being in a clothes store, and she wasn't going to steal anything... Maybe... The plan was to just look around and see if there was anything she liked. Unfortunately, most of what was here was for the winter. Sure, Jenna liked fluffy jumpers and long scarves but they weren't the same as shorts and sunglasses... Which was a little bit obvious because two of them were to keep people warm and two weren't... But they were all for different weather and Jenna preferred the summer to the winter. In truth, she just liked wearing shorts, tank tops and sunglasses... She didn't care much about the season, though she knew that it looked odd to walk around in sunglasses in the middle of February.
Reaching the accessories, Jenna giggled a little with happiness and immediately walked over to a long, purple scarf before she wound it around her neck and looked in the nearest mirror. She began posing, including a pout, before she laughed at her reflection and looked down at the scarf. It was a nice scarf... But she probably couldn't afford it and she really didn't want to get done for shop lifting. With a somewhat sad sigh while biting her bottom lip, Jenna watched her hands playing with the scarf before she looked back in the mirror. She tilted her head and pulled a face of thoughtfulness before she went back to grinning. Even if she couldn't buy (and wouldn't steal) the scarf, she could wear it, pull silly faces and pose in front of the mirror. That was forever an option for Jenna...
But she really liked this scarf.
Glancing around in the hopes of seeing someone who looked likely to buy it for her, Jenna looked a little crestfallen as she realised that none of the people in the shop were likely to buy a scarf for a stranger... The staff were beginning to look like they were suspicious of her, though. They needn't have been, as Jenna twirled in front of the mirror before skipping back to the accessories and picking out a pink bobble hat. She pulled it on and bounced back to the mirror. Giggling again, Jenna grinned while posing. Gosh, she really liked these... Maybe she could steal them... But there was no way to get them out of the store without some serious luck... In which case, she could only hope for the best.
They were nice though...

Clothes? Really...? Of all things he needed he was in need of clothes... When your boss tells you to go buy a suit you know it's going to be a bad day. He had been sent to Gotham to go get a suit because of supposedly there was a brand that was only sold there or something. Some stupid reason like that. And it had put Silas in a bad mood. Well..he was normally in a bad mood, but that was completely beside the point.
He strode into the store, moving through the store, cutting through the women's section to get where he needed to go. However, he didn't really get all the way through. His eyes were drawn to a young woman, posing in front of a mirror wearing a purple scarf and a pink hat. Should he be staring like that? He didn't think so. It felt wrong to be looking at her. Was it wrong?
Probably was.
He could see the workers' eyes on the girl. That wasn't good. She was probably going to steal something. That wasn't good either. He came up by her, blue eyes blank as normal. "Stealing," he said, "is not the answer." His bright blue eyes looked at her reflection in the mirror.
"You'd never get away with it anyhow," he continued, in his British accent. "those workers got their eyes on you." He leaned against the mirror, looking at her with startling blue eyes. If there hadn't been a no smoking sign on the door he would have pulled out a cigarette.
(Note. I hate this post. I really do)

Jenna didn't notice him staring, too busy being amused by her own reflection to pay attention to anyone else's. If she had, she would have realised he was staring. If she had, she would have probably started flirting from afar, to be honest. Instead, she was posing and pursing her lips and generally having a fair bit of fun. As he spoke, Jenna jumped in surprise and spun on the spot. As she saw him, she smiled pleasantly - politely - and nodded while fidgeting a little, her upper body twisting as she stood in front of him, her hands beginning to play with the scarf absentmindedly.
"Good thing I ain't plannin' on stealin' then, ain't it?" She asked, a grin taking place of her smile rather cheerfully. As he carried on, her grin grew a little more until she laughed at his words. No shit, Sherlock. "Ha! No kiddin'. I mean, it would take a fair bit of luck for me to get away with it, right? Not like they trust me anyway..." She trailed off, her gaze passing over the workers in the shop before she looked back at him. Would he buy them for her? Only one way to find out and she was more than happy to do so... Especially if it meant she'd be able to get the scarf and hat. She really did like them...
"Gotta ask, though..." Jenna began while moving to pose properly in front of him, the mirror behind her. "Whaddya think, Sir?" She asked, a wide grin on her features once more. "'Cause I really like 'em, but I mean... I really like a lot of thin's I can't have..." She said, trailing off again as she looked him up and down casually as though assessing him. Well, maybe she was. 10. Definitely a 10. "Ten." She said aloud, nodding to herself before she grinned and turned back to the mirror.
Posing again, Jenna leaned her upper body forward, and so accidentally (or she would claim so if he asked) sticking but butt out a little, while pursing her lips. She giggled softly at her own expression and let her head bow while she laughed at herself before looking back at the mirror. Her gaze flicked to him subtly for a moment, though only a moment, before it turned back to her reflection and she stood up straight, her hand moving down the scarf almost lovingly. They really were nice...

The thought of perhaps apologizing for startling her never even crossed his mind. It probably should have, but it didn't. He all together ignored that he had startled her. However, he did take in how she reacted to seeing him. He didn't show any type of emotion as she smiled politely and fidgeting, playing around with the scarf around her neck. His brow rose a bit as he took in her appearance. Green eyes and blonde hair. She was shorter than he was, but than again a lot of people were shorter than Silas Mortimer, so that wasn't much of a shock.
He nodded a bit, actually a little glad that she hadn't planned on stealing them. He didn't reply to that, but watched her as she grinned cheerfully. He nodded again at her laugh and her words about luck. When she mentioned the workers he glanced over towards them. They were still sending cautious glances over at the girl and Silas. He turned his eyes back towards her, his eyes flickering from the hat to scarf. They did look quite nice on her...
Silas's brow rose again when she posed. He gave a little bob of his shoulders. He cleared his throat a bit and replied, "They look nice." A wry smile tugged at his lip as it said it. She really did look nice in them. For a moment he didn't understand why she'd said "ten", but than seemed to understand what she'd been doing when she looked him up and down. "Thanks," he replied casually, his own eyes running the length of her body.
So much for attempting to find a suit.
He glanced at her, frowning a bit as he stepped back just an inch when she stuck out her butt. She hadn't seemed to realize that she'd done it. He shook his head as she laughed at herself, his gaze wondering around the store, taking in the racks upon racks of clothing items. He didn't notice her glance at him but did catch her stroking the scarf lovingly as she looked at her reflection. He sighed. She obviously didn't have the money for them.
"How much?" he mumbled, shifting his weight. She'd just better hope I don't change my mind. He thought to himself.
( note- somehow managed another crappy post! )

At his comment - with a wry smile, she noted with hidden amusement - Jenna gave a small nod and grinned. They did look good and he seemed to have very good taste. That might have been Jenna's minor ego thinking that he had good taste. She'd noticed his glances... He wasn't be subtle, after all... After she commented on him being a ten (out of ten), Jenna's grin grew ever so slightly and she bowed her head as if to say 'you're welcome' before she began looking at how she looked in the mirror again.
Feigning a look of surprise with ease when he asked how much they were, Jenna looked at the labels and smiled at him sweetly. Did she actually have him wrapped around her little finger this easily? Either she was really good or he was really easy. Well, they both got the same outcome so she didn't particularly care which it was.
"Not too much..." She answered, smile growing ever sweeter. "Well... Not too much compared to..." She looked around before pointing at the nearest item of clothing. "That, I expect. I don't actually know but it's not that much..." She trailed off, smile growing bigger now before she practically skipped closer to him, her smile spreading into an obviously happy grin, and she moved to peck him on the cheek in thanks before pulling the bobble hat off and holding it out for him, her expression revealing her definitely cheery mood. Well, who wouldn't be cheerful with someone buying them things? Jenna may have been materialistic, but at least she was cheap with her materialistic loves.
"Might be able to pay you back later..." She said softly, smile back with a hint of flirt wound through it before she gave a rather subtle wink and skipped towards the checkout. She didn't doubt that he'd likely take up her offer. Of course, it wasn't one hundred percent certain that he would but he'd taken at least some of an interest in her. There had to be a reason for that didn't there? She highly doubted that it was because of the hat and scarf, too...
((Notes: I'm sorry this isn't longer. I should have written this earlier when Jenna muse was like 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' but I had to go and procrastinate. >:l FYI: yours isn't crap.))

Silas watched her. He had to admit she was pretty, and the scarf and the hat did look mighty nice on her. He didn't really know what had made him ask her how much they were. He hadn't had anything to drink, and even if he had he wouldn't have gotten drunk, so he couldn't blame it on that. Basically, he had nothing to blame it on.
When she said it wasn't too much, Silas had a feeling they were that much. Why else would she say they weren't that much? Unless that was she was telling the truth, but he couldn't make out the price, so he couldn't really telling if she was lying or not. He glanced at the other piece of clothing for a moment before looking back at her and taking the hat from her. Her cheery mood definitely amused him and he offered her a very, very small smile in return.
A smirk wound its way onto his lips when she said she might be able to pay him back later. He was pretty sure he knew what she meant had nothing to do with money, upon picking out the flirt in her voice. "Perhaps, I'll take you up on that," he almost drawled, giving a little shrug. "Wait, a moment, will you?" he asked of her, as she skipped off. He waved a hand towards the suits, turning and striding towards them. He rather hoped one of the first ones he saw would be fine as he really didn't like spending time looking at clothes.

Jenna was grinning, her teeth on her bottom lip as she did so, when he said that he would take her up on the paying him back. Perhaps he would. Perhaps? She was almost insulted by that, not that it showed. Her teeth bit down on her bottom lip more as she began playing with the end of the scarf gently. She pulled at the end of it to take it off and moved to hook it around the back of his neck while holding both ends gently in her hands.
"Only perhaps?" She asked, grin growing as she very obviously let her gaze float over him while chewing on her bottom lip as though considering something as her eyes moved back to his face. He asked if she'd wait and she gave a silent nod, her lips still pulled into a grin which allowed her to bite her lip at the same time as she stepped away from him while leaving the scarf wherever it had ended up being. He'd need to pay for that too, after all.
She turned back to the mirror and looked at her reflection as he walked off, though her gaze soon turned to the reflection of his back. More specifically, her gaze turned to his butt reflection. A small giggle escaped her and she raised an eyebrow while seemingly assessing his rear-end. Well, if he was going to turn his back then she'd take whatever chance she got.
Her gaze turned back to her own reflection and she bounced sideways along the wall of accessories before grabbing another hat - of a different style - and putting it on before bouncing sideways back to the mirror and mime-singing with over the top actions and lip syncing, though it wasn't synced with any songs that may have been playing at that moment in time. She didn't care. She was having fun, as was evident by the fact that she threw her hands in the air and turned at the same time with a laugh. She didn't want the hat she'd grabbed, but she was having fun so it wasn't like it ought to have really mattered...
