Watching everything from Wayne Enterprises, Nightwing uses binoculars as he looks around, seeing if there’s any criminal activity in Gotham. He really shouldn’t even be here in the first place for patroll but it was for Bruce due to the recent deaths in the Wayne family. Bruce needed the time to grieve and just try to not go out because it wasn’t healthy for him. Jason’s death was one thing but now that Hailey, Alex, Alyss and John were gone, Bruce would go berserk on any criminal who got on his bad side. If Bruce wanted to go out then that was fine with Dick but he shouldn’t do anything reckless or even worse. There is one rule for everyone who has aligned themselves with Bruce: no killing. There was a reason for that and the rule at times (thanks to Jason) almost went right out the window.
But now things were getting worse: Barbara was missing, Dick’s girlfriend had disappeared but where to? Dick has been in his headquarters, searching for Barbara and to see where she may have gone to. It wasn’t like her one second to be there and poof, she’s gone. Maybe someone, an enemy of the commissioner, or maybe someone more powerful than him, Bruce or anyone, must have gotten to Barbara. So far there was nothing that Nightwing found but he couldn’t give up, he had to continue searching until he found his lover for good this time. Putting his binoculars to the side, he looked at the other buildings surrounding him, and sighed. “Where are you Barbara?”, he asked, shaking his head. If only there was some sort of sign that could give Dick the answer that he would be there in a heart beat.

Helena crouched in the shadows on a nearby rooftop, quietly looking over the city. Her stormy grey eyes scanned the seemingly quiet streets below for any disruption or criminal activity. So far, there was nothing and all was quiet. The Huntress however had learned long ago that this quiet never lasted long. People were always plotting and things were always happening in Gotham. It was the inevitable. You just had to know where to be and what to look for to see anything suspicious or out of place.
Lately, things had been happening. Disappearances to be exact. Where were they disappearing to and who was behind all of this? Those were the questions Helena intended to help figure out the answers to. Whoever it was needed to be found, taken down, and jailed. Maybe worse, but she had vowed not to kill unless it was absolutely necessary. The quiet continued for the moment and after a few more minutes Helena rose to her feet and walked over to the edge of the building. Her narrowed gaze swept across the part of the city she could see clearly. It was too quiet and still for her comfort right now. Even the wind seemed to hold its breath...

Nightwing could hear police sirens as Dick used his binoculars looking down, seeing two police cars chase one car that was going fast. That’s the hero’s sign right there and thank god something like this happens because Nightwing could not stand just standing and watching. He needed something to do and more action is what he craved for. Taking out his grapple, Nightwing pressed the button and ran off the top of the building and jumped on the next one, following where the other car that the police were chasing off. Then he decided for something else, instead of jumping on rooftops, there’s another way Dick can follow. He pressed another button on the grappler and in a few minutes another car was going to join the fray and it was Nightwing’s very own.
Jumping from the building all the way down to where the car was, it accepted him before Dick fasten his seatbelt before putting the pedal to the metal. He started drive up but away from where the cops were chasing the other fast car. He had a plan in mind and had to be careful to not kill the person driving so fast. If it was necessary though, then that is what Nightwing will do to whoever this person is. Dick stopped and waited from a street patiently then when it happened, Nightwing’s car drove his car right into the middle of the street and the person who was driving the car fast stopped immediately, knowing who the person was. The person is caught red handed and there’s no way to escape now. Nightwing got out and carefully walked up to the car as the cops pulled out their guns, ordering whoever is inside to step out.

Helena sighed softly getting bored and restless with the silence that seemed to drag on. She shifted her weight to her other foot and continued to look around. She had never been one to sit around for long and she had stayed still for as long as she possibly could. Suddenly, the wail of sirens reached her ears and she smiled slightly to herself at the familiar sound. Oh, the sound of cops in pursuit of a criminal. It never got old as it was the sound of thrill and adventure to her. Finally, she didn't have to sit here quietly waiting anymore as the sitting around had gotten irritating and boring.
As the wailing sound neared her position the Huntress grinned slightly to herself and with ease she swiftly darted across the rooftop and jumped. She landed on the next building on light feet and continued to run with graceful ease. Her heart rate slowly started to pick up from running and her mind began to clear as only one thought entered her mind. Get to the scene and help in any way possible. On the road up ahead the flashing lights of the squad cars came into view along with another vehicle and Nightwing's car. Helena smiled to herself seeing that a friend and fellow Justice League member was already on scene. Slowing down at the edge of the roof on a nearby building, she dropped into the shadows on the ground below, her cape settling around her a second later.

As Nightwing and the cops await for the person whoever was inside the car, Nightwing noticed The Huntress. He smiled and knew he wasn’t alone so he could sure use help. Looking right back at the car, the person still didn’t come out and the cops were still waiting for whoever it was to get out that car. Nightwing decided to walk a little closer to the car so he can see who’s inside there. Dick had to be cautious and not get more closer to the car or something would happen. Maybe the person would pull out a gun or try to run over him, The Huntress and the other cops.
Nightwing could see the person in the drivers seat but the thing is…it wasn’t a person, it was a mannequin. How could a mannequin drive the car and putting everyone on a goose chase or was it? Nightwing went closer to the car and saw the mannequin so yes, the object is in there but saw a note. It said, “Catch me if you can…suckas” and left Nightwing confused. This wasn’t adding up at all and more confusing. The perp was making this complicated and difficult but this isn’t over. Just as Nightwing looked up to the cops and started to tell them about who’s in the car…..
BOOM
The explosion sent Dick back before he started running at The Huntress and covering her down, to make sure she didn’t get the impact of the explosion. “Get down!”, he said to her. After a few minutes, Dick looked up and saw the car in flames before looking at Helena. “You okay?” he asked her.

The Huntress emerged from the shadows as she saw Nighthawk notice her and she gave a small smile in return. She walked over to stand a little ahead of the cops, watching the idle car as they waited for the driver to appear. After a moment no one emerged an her gaze moved to Dick for a moment as he started to approach the car. There was no need for her to tell him to be careful, as she knew he would be cautious. Already there were a few red flags of warning that she saw and a bad feeling formed in her gut. Her mind started to run through different possibilities as she stood there. Did the driver have a gun? Did they have special abilities as well? Was it a ploy? A trap? Something was up... Why hadn't the driver come out by now? Stubbornness perhaps? No, they could have driven away if they wanted since the cops were out of their cars as well.
She watched as Nightwing looked into the car and waited patiently to hear what could be wrong. Just as she opened her mouth to ask if everything was okay she saw the vehicle explode and Nightwing running toward her. Heeding his warning and her own instincts, she dropped to a knee and turned her head, covering her face as she did so. Her cape billowed slightly and when it fell still again she raised her head and got back to her feet as Dick asked her if she was okay. The Huntress nodded in response,"I'm fine." She looked him over briefly for any visible injuries and thankfully didn't see any, "What about you? Are you okay?" Helena asked and after a moment looked to the car that was now engulfed in flames,"So what was that? A suicide bomber?"
Curious, she glanced at him before walking over to the car, looking into the wreckage from a safe distance. A figure sat, burning in the driver's seat, but it wasn't a human. Actually, if she wasn't mistaken, it was a dummy or manikin of some sort. "Huh. That was a pretty clever trick... Set a dummy in the car and have someone remotely control it. Looks real enough, until you get closer." The Huntress then turned to Nightwing,"Any ideas on who could have done this?" She asked, thinking. Any chance of finding evidence had now been destroyed.

“I’m fine Helena”, Dick told her as he stood up and saw that there was do damage on Helena. Bruce would just sometimes be so arrogant and saying he’s fine but in a different way. Dick respected his mentor but at least he would say it in a more kinder way but Bruce is Bruce. The man can go through any type of pain and still keep going. Dick was like that too at times but he had his own limits and would ask for any kind of medical help. “No that wasn’t a suicide bomber, that was just some kind of dummy in a car to make it look like someone was driving it”, he answered Helena as he could hear policemen calling out and Dick put his hands around his mouth. “Were alright! Were fine! Call the fire department to clean this up!”, he told them as he looked back at Helena, who asked questions of her own. “Whoever did this had to be smart enough to keep us off of his tracks. Someone’s behind it but it’s your modern day Two Face, Joker, Penguin or Harley Quinn” , he told her. It was disappointing that the evidence that was burning, right in front of Nightwing and Huntress was destroyed. Where that did lead them now? Nowhere, that’s what. The person behind this had to be more creative than ever and pull some tricks in the end.

The Huntress nodded when he said he was alright before looking to the cops as she heard them calling over to them and Nightwing answered. The frown on Helena's face deepened and she nodded, listening to Dick as he spoke of who he thought could have done this. It was a dead end now. Everything was burning and if she had to guess the car had been stolen, so trying trace the license plates would do no good. Just their luck. The Huntress shifted her weight and crossed her arms, staring at the flames. This time they hadn't gotten any evidence, but she was sure whoever did this would try something again, and maybe then they could have luck with figuring something out.
"Well, this is fantastic." Helena shook her head slightly and turned away from the car to look down the road. When Dick said the person had wanted to keep them off their tracks she spoke again, voicing her thoughts,"So they wanted to distract us from something else; Lead us away... I just hope it's a robbery we can at least track and stop; not another disappearance we can't follow." She said and turned back to Dick after a moment. It was a little frustrating as whoever was doing this was good at staying out of sight and covering tracks. Helena took a deep breath. What now?

Nightwing hopes for the same thing that The Huntress wants as well. He agreed with Helena that justice should be served to whoever is responsible for this crime. Whoever did this pulled one up on both heroes and tricking them to come closer, seeing who's behind the wheel. The only thing is that it's just a dummy so it won't get them no where. Suddenly the communication piece in Dick's ear went off and it was Alfred. "Go ahead Alfred", he said to the elder butler of the Wayne Manor. Grayson thought that Alfred needs a vacation since he works so hard for the Wayne Family. Try telling the old man that and he won't do it. Like Bruce, he doesn't take vacations that much because his 'family' needs him. "Alright..thanks Alfred...were on our way", he said to him as Nightwing tapped his ear communication piece. Then looking at The Huntress, he said to her, "That was Alfred. He just a signal from Wayne Enterprises about some kind of break in a couple of minutes ago. We better get there and fast", Nightwing told Helena. "We can use my car, come on", he said to her before The Nightwing ran to his car and got inside before closing the door. Pressing a button, he opened another door so that Helena can get in. Dick wonders if Bruce knows and if he did then Batman would be there in a heart beat. He would not like it that people who are working for his company are now breaking into Wayne Enterprise.

Helena's gaze moved to Dick, her stormy gray eyes watching as he spoke to the Wayne's butler, Alfred. She thought Alfred worked too hard. He was constantly doing things to keep Wayne Manor running and keeping Batman and the rest of us informed on things. So, she guessed that something had happened and Alfred was giving Dick an update on whatever the situation was, and she had a feeling it might just be tied to the dummy and vehicle. Silently, she prayed it wasn't another disappearance and something she and Nightwing could actually stop.
When he spoke, she listened and nodded curtly in response. This had to be connected in some way. She had been near Wayne Enterprises before, but had followed the car away from the building. "Alright, let's get going then." The Huntress quickly followed Nightwing and got into his car as the door opened for her. Hopefully they could get there in time to stop whoever it was that had broken in and make them wish they had never even done so.

On the way to Wayne Enterprises, Dick thought about many things but the one thing is Barbara. It would be highly unlikely that Barbara was there but if she was, then it would be a surprise. Maybe the people breaking in to Bruce’s company were the ones that held Babs hostage, having her and bringing out to get at Batman. Well if that’s true then they have one, no, make it two other vigilantes to worry about. Arriving, Dick saw four people running out dressed in black with masks on including some suit cases in their hands, inc something you don’t see everything. Dick looked at Helena before speaking. “Those four guys just came out of the building. They’re don’t work with Wayne Enterprises, let’s stop them before they get away!”, he told her. Getting out of his car quickly, he saw the four people before taking out his Batarangs and throwing it at one of them. He didn’t care who he hit just as long as he got their attention and it did. Two of them came running at Nightwing as he looked at Helena. “You get the other two, I got the others”, he said to the Huntress as one of them hits Dick but Nightwing blocks it and gives the guy a head but. Then the other guy comes from behind Nightwing, grabbing him but Nightwing head buts him too. Picking them up, Nightwing slammed their heads together before letting them go. “Courtesy of Nightwing”, he said as he looks at The Huntress to see how she’s holding up.

The Huntress's eyes narrowed as she saw the four people exit Wayne Enterprises. "Copy that!" She replied to Nightwing before hopping out of the car and following him. She reached for her utility belt as they closed in on the masked people. "Alright." She nodded to Dick and sprinted after the other two men, taking out a bolas as she did so. Swinging it twice she threw it at one of them and it wrapped around their legs and tripped them, sending them to the unforgiving concrete.
"Leaving so soon boys? The party's only started." One of them came after her, swinging the briefcase, which the Huntress easily ducked under before bringing her fist up to get the guy under the chin. As the man staggered back the other one had freed himself and went after Helena. She got hit by the first punch and took a step back, blocking the second and dodging the following attacks. "Not fast enough." She teased with a smile and went into a roundhouse kick, catching the guy in the side of the head, knocking him out. Helena brushed off her hands with a smirk, looking down on them.

Dick looks at the Huntress, taking complete control of the situation. It made him smile, to know that he had an ally, not only in the Justice League but in the Bat Family. But Dick knew this was nothing without Bruce. Growing up, Dick, John and Bruce were the dynamic duo, going out every night on patrol, showing their dominance to every criminal and sending them a warning. Those were the old days but now things have changed. John was no longer around in this world and Bruce would grow colder, even more darker. Dick would not have that with Bruce and let him do something stupid. Taking out his handcuffs, Nightwing brought the two guys together and handcuffed them so they won't escaped. "Stay here you two, you don't want to get caught again do you?", he asked them. Even though their faces are covered with black masks on, Dick knew they were frowning and not smiling. Their plans didn't go through tonight so they had nothing to celebrate about. They should be lucky that The Batman was not here tonight because if he was then Bruce would unleash his anger all on these fools. Walking over to Helena, he puts on the cuffs on the other guys before looking up at The Huntress. "Seems like you didn't need help. You did good tonight Huntress, thanks", he said before getting the briefcase and opening it, revealing papers of something very important for the company. Dick closed the briefcase and setss it down.

The Huntress stood over the masked figures, looking down on them. One moved a little and she glared daggers at the man. If glares could kill, Helena's would. "I wouldn't move if I were you. No funny business." She warned as she heard Nightwing walk over to handcuff the two she had taken down a few minutes ago. It was almost like old times, only Bruce wasn't here. The Bat Family was pretty much together again and it reminded her of years before, the team working together to get criminals under control and put in prison for their crimes. They had struck fear into the hearts of those that refused to abide the law.
"Thanks, and you're welcome." A smile touched her lips for a brief moment. "You know I'm always happy to help at a moment's notice. Anything for a close friend." Helena walked over to the other briefcases and picked them up, setting them together with the one Dick had set back down. Turning, she looked at the handcuffed figures,"So boys, care to tell us who you work for?" She asked, walking a little closer to them before stopping a few feet from them.

“None of your business”, one of the handcuff figures said. His voice was barely heard since the guy is wearing a mask. “Really? Well none of your business isn’t a good enough answer”, Nightwing told them in a serious voice, the one that was somber and not sarcastic. “We know that you two, along with the other two you guys brought in broke into the building stealing some important documents so no need to line”, he told them. Yeah, they’re busted, all of them but the one thing they could of done was get into some cloaking device and catch them off guard. Maybe that could work instead of them wearing all black, that’s so old school. Nightwing showed them the briefcase and opened it, showing the documents that they were trying to steal. “We don’t owe you two an explanation of nothing. The Wayne Family has and still to this day, robbed people, being the opposite of Robin Hood, taking everything away. Bruce Wayne continues that to threaten everyone…even in the lower class…he doesn’t deserve to be in Gotham and keep ripping people a part”, one of the men said. It made Nightwing laugh a little of their speech but they did not know Bruce Wayne that well like Dick, Helena and so on. But he could understand how some people would rip off the little guy and take away everything from that. That was not Bruce at all, he would be at fundraisers and helping others who couldn’t do nothing but boast, going on about how he or she can improve the future. “So what do you think Helena?”, he asked The Huntress.
