a hero can be anyone Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jim and his team had been sent to investigate the sewers. He was the only one still alive. The others had been killed in an explosion, he winced at the memory that had shook the entire cave or so it seemed. He was walking further down into the sewers when he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and he was out.
He was awakened by being thrown to the ground. "Sir, we've brought the Commissioner." A voice said, but Jim couldn't place it. He didn't know that voice. He wasn't sure where they had taken him but he could feel the foreboding sense in the air bring with it the promise of impending doom.
Commissioner James Gordon didn't like this.

Bane stood with his back towards the men coming in saying the had the commissioner. He turned slowly and looked down at the ground where the commissioner Gordon was laying. Bane walked closer and stopped before him. "What a lovely surprise " Bane said and grabbed onto Gordon`s jacket and pulled him up from the ground and looked at him.
"Put him in chains..he ain`t going nowhere " he commanded the men. They did as told and grabbed onto Gordon and dragged him over to a wall with chains in it and put him there.

He knew no matter what he did he was outnumbered and outstrengthed. He wasn't going to try and escape when there was a possibility he could get out later when Bane was defeated. He reasoned that he would be hurt worse if he attempted to escape.
He glared at Bane. "What do you want?" he growled, his eyes narrowed. He knew he wouldn't stand a chance against this man. He was getting up in years and it was obvious. |

Bane glared back at Gordon as he spoke, "I want answers from you Commissioner!" Bane said with a growly voice himself. Bane knew that this man was closer to Bruce Wayne more than most people in this city. And he knew a lot. "Why are you here ?" he asked him and looked at him. Bane knew that they were out to get him, but so far everyone had failed at that mission.

Gordon didn't know, but he didn't like it. "I'm not going to do anything for you," snapped Jim. It was true, nothing Bane could do to him would make him do as he asked. Now, if Bane brought Barbara into Jim would die to make sure she stayed safe.
"We were sent down here to see what was going on in the sewers," said the Commissioner honestly, his eyes still narrowed into a glare. He would answer questions but he wasn't going to do any work for this mad man. |

Bane looked at Gordon with furious eyes,he took a few steps closer towards him and bent down looking at him only a few inches away from him. "You will do whatever i tell you to do Commissioner or people will get hurt.." he said to him. Bane wouldn`t hesitate on killing the people being closest to him.
"And did you find what you were looking for..? " Bane asked him. Bane also knew that keeping Gordon here, would keep making the police and others come down here to look for him. But Bane wasn`t worried. He always had a plan worked out somehow to keep them away.

"If you want to hurt anyone, hurt me but you stay the hell away from my family." He growled. He'd be damned if this man hurt Barbara. He would die protecting her from this bastard.
"My whole damn team is dead because of you," growled Gordon, shifting against the chains, causing them to bite into his wrists. |

Bane looked at Gordon as he spoke. "You have no power over me Commissioner Gordon..i have power over you now..and my patience is getting very low " Bane said to him. It only took a second for Bane to smash his fist into Gordon`s face ,serving him an couple of rough and painful punches.
"If you wanted your men alive, you shouldn`t have come here in the first place " Bane said and leaned back up, looking down at the older man.

The impact caused his teeth to dig deep down into his tongue and he tasted blood - the metallic tang of iron and ruby red as it trickled from his lips as he spat it out at the ground by Bane's foot. When Bane's fist connected with his face, Jim had heard the crack of his nose as it broke. He groaned in pain, feeling the blood from his broken nose leaking down his face, he tasted it against his lips and spat it out.
"Are you going to just make me suffer or are you going to kill me already, dammit?" snapped Jim, glaring at the bigger man. |

Bane looked down at Gordon after punching him. He saw the blood trickling down from his nose and his lips as well. Bane could do so much more damage to the old cop that wouldn`t make him last long down here, but Bane never let them get away with death that easily.
Bane sighed, didn`t say much at first , he just listened to Gordon`s words."Didn`t know you wanted to die already..but you won`t get away so easily..And i do want to make you suffer more..." Bane said to him in a cold tone. One of the things Bane was known for was to torture the poor souls who came across him. "If you don`t do as i tell you to..i will break more than just your nose Commissioner.." he said and took a few steps back as one of his men and right hand, Barsad walked in and told Bane something that Gordon wouldn`t be able to hear.
Bane gave Gordon one more look before he was getting ready to visit someone close to Gordon, his daughter.

Jim glared at him. He had known his plea for mercy would be denied. This was the merciless Bane we were talking about. He wasn't going to give anyone a break. The commissioner sighed, groaning at the pain in the back of his head. "Fine. Have it your way. Don't kill me. But I swear I would rather die then do your biding."
It wasn't like Gordon wanted to die. He just would rather die then suffer. He had always told Amelia and Barbara he wanted a quick death, not at all like the one Bane was offering. He didnt know what Bane was going to do but he wished he did. For if he knew the fate of his daughter he would have offered himself in her place.

Bane looked at Gordon. He had a plan on how to make him talk and do as he wants. No parent wants to bury their own children, and Bane had no problems on showing how terrible he could be. They were going to get his daughter Barbara and take her back to the sewer so they would see eachother one last time.
" Your life will be spared for a little bit longer..i have something i need to do " Bane said to Gordon. But before he would leave ,he walked closer to Gordon and kicked him in the stomach a couple of times. Bane wasn`t holding anything back.

Jim looked at him. "What is that?" He growled before Bane's foot connected with his stomach a few times, causing him to groan in pain. He hoped Babs was okay. No. He needed her to be okay. If Bane hurt her he'd kill the man if he could - or die trying. He wasn't prepared to loose her, he would rather die then loose her. She was young and she had a life while his was nearly over. He was getting older, that was no secret to Commissioner James Gordon but Babs was still a young girl. She had her whole life ahead of her. She couldn't die now and if Bane caused that to happen...

Bane looked at him, "You`ll see when i get back here.." he said to Gordon. Bane and the men prepared themselves to leave the sewers for a little while to get Barbara and bring her back here. She was very important to Gordon and he wanted to see what he would do to keep her safe. Bane put on a jacket and glanced over at Gordon who was in more pain after the kicks to the stomach. "I wll see you soon Commissioner" Bane said to him.
