Personality: {Dylan is optimistic and tends to stay quiet around people she doesn't know. She gets more talkative the better she knows someone and can also become a lot louder. Seemingly weak due to her shyness and physical limitations (being short and small), some people - including people who know her well - wrongly underestimate her. However, Dylan is more than capable of looking after herself, as shown on separate, small occasions over her life time. She often feels that she needs to prove herself and can be somewhat aggressive. Dylan can also be quite sly and sneaky when she needs to be, or when she just feels like getting someone else into trouble. She enjoys small pranks and often starts prank wars, though this doesn't mean that she can't be serious when she needs to be.
A part of her sneakiness is her ability to convince pretty much anyone that she's innocent of something, even if she's done it. This only works if someone hasn't seen her do whatever she's denying, but she doesn't always see if people have noticed. She is also very good at keeping calm in a situation despite her somewhat aggression, meaning when she does get angry it's because someone has done something so bad, or so often, that she's had enough of it and usually ends up throwing something at them... Usually whatever is closest and not too heavy for her to lift.
Rather friendly and happy to talk to people, Dylan rarely starts arguments though won't back down if she gets involved with one. The arguments that Dylan does start are related to her indecisiveness. She dislikes being forced to make a decision and often finds herself getting annoyed. It can often seem like Dylan is too rebellious and she can find it difficult to follow rules, though can work well with others. She often states the obvious, though only when she thinks that no one else has realised the obvious.
Overall, Dylan is active, aggressive, capable, determined, empathetic, energetic, friendly, indecisive, intelligent, optimistic, quiet, rebellious, shy, sly, sneaky, somewhat deceptive, and able to hold her own. It's little surprise that she's survived for this long...

History: {Born to Amelia and James Carrero on the 23rd of December, 1989, Dylan is the youngest of two children. She was born in Sicily but the family moved to England when she was three as her grandmother, Lenore, was ill. Lenore died when Dylan was six. Dylan always loved her grandmother and, when she died, Dylan was the most effected after her mother, who had been Lenore's daughter, and her grandfather. Dylan never appeared to be effected in school, though, and rarely seemed to know what had happened. She knew perfectly well what had happened and freely answered anyone who asked with what had happened.
The family stayed close to Logan D'Campo and plenty of Dylan and Logan II's childhood was spent with the elderly man. Her father was rarely with the children as he was in America. The children never knew what their father was doing, though Amelia and Emilie - Dylan and Logan's aunt - often spoke about their husbands while Autumn, Dylan and Logan spent time together. The children grew up around each other despite Autumn being almost ten years older than Dylan and Logan.
Their school lives were rather normal, though. They had their own groups of friends and Dylan was acquaintances with a number of her year group. She always seemed to live in her own world, of sorts, and this sometimes caused her teachers to become annoyed with her. While she was young, though, she had a bit of a temper which often flared around the other students. There were a number of small incidents which were started by a small action and turned into someone getting hurt. One such time was when Dylan's hand got cut. She and the girl she was sitting next to both wanted the same pair of scissors and instead of either of them giving in, they both held their own. The other girl grabbed the scissors at the same time as Dylan and Dylan's hand got cut. In revenge, Dylan poked the other girl in the eye and stole the scissors. Another time, she got into an argument with someone and ended up getting poked in the eye with a straw. She suddenly understood how much it hurt, though the teachers did nothing about either incident, so Logan did. Her brother had ago at the person who'd poked Dylan in the eye when she ran to him, crying and telling him what had happened. The siblings were always very close as young children due to the fact that they both held a sense of protectiveness over each other. Logan was protective because she was always small for her age, while Dylan was protective due to the fact that she believed, sometimes, he couldn't protect himself properly.
At the age of eight, Dylan was the top of her class for maths and almost the top of her class for science, though she had no real interest in learning about English, but found herself wanting to learn sign language when a teacher began to teach her class this. She didn't know how to learn, however, and so gave up on that idea very quickly. She also went to her cousin's wedding at the age of eight, though it didn't really go well for the young woman as her fiancé, Donald Lapier, decided to run from the wedding. Dylan had been in the same room as Autumn and Dylan's mother when her brother had run in and told them. Dylan, at the time, hadn't realised why Autumn had been so annoyed but figured it out after five minutes.
When Dylan got into high school, she found herself alone as all of her friends had gone to high school in another city. She made a small group of friends and again had plenty of acquaintances, though she rarely spoke to anyone outside of her group of friends. Her first year of high school, when she was eleven and twelve, went exceedingly well and she got the top mark of her class in the end of year exam for science. In the following years, she tried to repeat this though found herself often failing to do so because, as she got older and used to the other students, she became more talkative and easily distracted from things she didn't find interesting. Her last two years seemed to be the nails in the metaphorical coffin for her grades. The students chose what they wanted to do and she had been put into the top set for English and never really understood why, which her teacher learnt in her last year when she completely failed English literacy and ended up being put in, what she thought, was the bottom set. This also confused her, but she didn’t mind that much as they did absolutely no work in this class. Her other lessons followed in suit and the only lesson she felt she'd had any form of success with was art, which she just about passed. Indeed, she didn't fail any of her lessons, though counted the others as fails.
After Dylan left high school, she was at a loss for what to do. Her brother had gone into Sixth Form, in high school, and passed his exams. Dylan felt as though this was expected of her and knew that there was no hope in Hell of her passing exams in Sixth Form. She had a feeling that her school knew that, as well. While she was trying to decide, her mother drank a little too much with her aunt while Dylan’s aunt brought Autumn around after Dylan’s uncle, Hugh, had been arrested because he was a leader of a gang in Gotham - where Dylan's father was. The women had gotten drunk, while their daughters sat and laughed at their mothers. It was then that Amelia and Emilie got talking about their families and Amelia said that Dylan’s grandmother would’ve loved to see Dylan grow up because she’d always been curious as to what Dylan would end up being like. Apparently, Lenore thought that Dylan was very fair as a three - six year old, and so Dylan wondered what the youngest child would grow up to be.
After this, Dylan moved from South East England to Gotham. She thought there might be some jobs in Gotham that didn't require much in the way of grades and it was while in Gotham that her mother's words came back to her. It might have been those words that made Dylan decide what she wanted to be and, as soon as she could, Dylan signed up for college. She somehow managed to pass her exams, despite her constant doubt that she'd be able to, and later signed up for the Gotham City Police Department, which is where she currently is. She isn't quite an officer, though continues to work on getting there...

RP Sample: {Looking around, Dylan pursed her lips and sighed. She was supposed to be out with an officer and the stupid man hadn't turned up. Her arms wrapped around her rib-area protectively as she hunched her shoulders. Was he even going to get here before midday? A look at her watch told her the answer to that question: no. It was 12:02 and no doubt Dylan would get blamed for this ridiculous waste of time. Pulling her hair into a ponytail, Dylan stepped back and leaned against the wall behind her. This was ever so irritating, and the officer she'd been told to meet up with wasn't one that she'd get on with, she suspected. Hadley bloody Jones. Dylan would love to beat him with her boot-clad foot... Glancing at the ground, she sighed again and tightened her arms around herself. This had better be worth it.
Looking up as a car passed her, Dylan realised it wasn't Officer Jones and moved to sit on the pavement against the wall. If he was smirking when he finally arrived then Dylan would punch him in the face. Her annoyance was beginning to be replaced by anger and that was not good for anyone who was going to be stuck in a car with her. At her phone began buzzing, Dylan rolled her eyes and pulled it out of her pocket. Jones? Oh, no. Wasn't Jones and so Dylan tried to keep herself calm.
"'Ello?" She answered, her phone pressed against her ear as she watched cars passing in the road.
"Where are you?"
"Home."
"Why?! You're supposed to be with Jones!"
"Hey! Don't start on me! He's the one who hasn't turned up! Dylan said loudly, frowning at the accusing tone that had been taken by the other person. There was a sigh.
"God damnit, okay... I'll see where he is."
Dylan groaned softly.
"Don't bother. I ain't waiting around for another half an hour for the shit to decide to turn up. I'll walk to the station. Can meet with someone there, right?"
"Okay. Be careful, though."
"Careful? Pfft, my middle name." Dylan joked before hanging up and standing. She began to walk down the path, grumbling quietly to herself about 'bloody Jones'...}
