Gentle rain fell on the city of Gotham, dampening anything and everything that was unlucky enough to be outside at that time. The darkness covered the area, velvet-looking clouds coating the sky and hiding the pin-pricks of light that were stars. On the ground, few people were around North City Park. A couple of homeless people were inside the public area and a small number of drunks were stumbling around the perimeter in an attempt at finding their homes... And a police officer in training was sitting outside the park, on the edge of the pavement, hugging their knees tightly, their orange hair tied into a high pony tail to keep it out of their eyes.
Resting her chin on her knees as she watched the pavement opposite her, the training police officer in question sighed softly. Why she kept having to go around with Hadley fucking Jones was beyond her, honestly. This was the third time this week that he'd wandered off and told her to do the job alone. It was Gotham City and Dylan - not even a police officer yet - had to do things alone! Not even police officers did things alone! She felt sympathy for anyone else who'd been partnered up with him, though. She hugged her knees a little tighter and glanced around at yelling. A drunk picking a fight with a lamp post. Why was Dylan not surprised?
Deciding not to do anything about it and blame it all on Hadley if she was asked, Dylan turned her gaze back to the pavement opposite her and stretched her back out with a small groan. She'd been sat in the rain for what felt like hours and her butt was beginning to go numb. If that little shit didn't come back soon, she'd walk off and go home. Let him get into trouble for wandering off and tell them that she'd thought she was allowed to piss off, given that he already had. Yeah, that would work. That would work out well... Unless anyone else came along right now, in which case no sleeping in her warm, comfy bed until the early hours. Why on Earth had she decided to become a police officer? The reasons absolutely escaped her, unfortunately...

Amelia's days hadn't been ones to cheer about. Her hu-ex-husband, had a broken heart, her daughter hated her, her boyfriend was horribly confused on how her husband was back from the 'dead', her son was irritated with her, and well, she had gotta about only three hours of sleep in the last few days. She'd been unable to sleep for her mind was working turbo speed. She had worn enough makeup to cover the darkness beneath her somewhat hazed sapphire blue eyes. She yawned, placing her hand over her mouth as she walked down the sidewalks of Gotham, rain pattering against the bulletproof vest that she was required to wear when on the job. She was doing a standard patrol as there hadn't been an emergency calls as of that day. But that could change at any moment and she was ready to make a headline to her car in case.
She brushed a hand back through her wet blonde hair with a sigh. Coming closer to the bench in Gotham park, Amelia Raven Blake spotted a somewhat familiar red head. A faint smile twisted her lips, the first that had touched her face when she wasn't around Matthew. She went towards the police officer in training, her steps making a slight squishing noise as her wet sneakers struck the ground.
"After noon, Dylan," she said, moving closer and leaning a bit against the bench. She offered a faint smile, brushing a wet strand of hair from her face. "Weren't you sent out with Jones? Amelia frowned a bit, cocking her head a bit curiously. "Where's he?" She took a look around, trying to stop the other officer but he was no where in sight.
Knowing that he must have just walked off caused Amelia's blood to boil just slightly. Irritation swept through her as she sighed. "Do you know where he went?[/ color]" She asked, looking around once more but catching no sight of the other officer. Good riddance she though to herself. No one really like Officer Hadley Jones. It was probably better that they didn't know where he was, then he was unable to bother and annoy them.

Hearing a voice, Dylan stopped glaring at the pavement opposite - though she hadn't realised she was glaring at first - and looked for the owner of the voice. Ah, Blake. Amelia Blake! Even better. Dylan wasn't as familiar with the other Blake as she was Amelia... Kind of... And the fact that she wasn't faced with another male officer made her feel a lot better than if she was faced with another male officer who would no doubt be sympathetic towards Hadley and therefore make her want to tear her god damn hair out in frustration. Okay, so she didn't have a very high opinion of people right now. It was understandable given her partner... Or rather, she thought it was. She could easily have been wrong, though.
"Evening." She greeted Amelia somewhat pleasantly despite the rain. She'd been raised in England, she was used to the rain. It actually felt a lot like home... At the question, Dylan's face turned to one of horrible distaste. Fucking Hadley damn Jones. She was going to shoot him if he ever came back. At the second question, Dylan gave a shrug carelessly. "Fuck knows. He wandered off about... I don't know how long ago and hasn't come back since." She answered, finding herself glaring at the pavement again before looking at Amelia. "If I ever get partnered with him again, shoot me." She requested almost pleadingly, looking somewhat unhappy. Somewhat was an understatement. "Or even better; shoot him."
She knew it was illegal but she really, really wanted it to happen anywhere. Maybe not shooting to kill kind of shoot, but certainly injure. He deserved it. He was a jerk and she really did hate him just a little bit. No. She hated him a lot. Then she was asked whether or not she knew where he went. Why would she know? Had he even told her? Um... No. She didn't think he had, anyway. If he had then she'd probably been too busy rolling her eyes and thinking sarcastic thoughts to pay his rotten arse any attention what-so-ever. Maybe she should have been paying attention, really... Would likely be helping right then and there... Oh well, too late now.
"Nope. And if I never see him again, it'll be too soon." She answered, her tone somewhat cheerful despite the fact that her voice was most definitely annoyed. He was an arse and she would love to kick his one day. Maybe she'd get the chance! Oh, that thought brought joy to her despite how unlikely it was. "Weren't you partnered with anyone?" She asked, now curious. Well, curious and feeling bad for basically ranting to Amelia without being asked how she was. He'd annoyed her way too much for her to just be quiet and let it all happen. Third time this week... Arsehole.

Amelia smiled at the other woman politely. The blonde didn't really mind the rain, it actually reminded her of the days she and her father would sit out and watch the storm roll in. She watched Dylan's face twist with disgust and Amelia found herself chuckling just a bit. "Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks he's an asshole," she said looking around, her vision somewhat blurry due to the rain drops falling into her face. The blonde was about to comment on how shooting Dylan would probably not be the best thing or the most logical, considering Hadley would still be around. She smirked. "I actually wouldn't mind that..." she said in reply to Dylan suggesting Amelia shoot Hadley instead of her.
There were two people in the GCPD that Amelia tried to avoid. One being John Blake. That one was a given. They're unceremonious reunion had left her feeling both irritated that he would be willing to just leave his children and incredibly sad that he would say that he wished a rat would choke on his wedding ring. Two being Hadley Jones. Reason? He was an ass. Simple as that.
Amelia smirked at her cheerful tone, although hearing the annoyance in her voice. "I'm sure you could complain to Jim and he'd be happy to make sure you two weren't partnered again," she shrugged a bit, "it's worth a try, I suppose..." When the question arose if Amelia was partnered with anyone she sighed, frowning a bit. "I was...but...things aren't exactly going well between John and I...considering we were recently divorced, so I just go out on my own." She shrugged, "Gives me time to think."

Dylan couldn't help a small laugh escaping at Amelia's words as Dylan brushed her hair out of her eyes gently before crossing her arms to keep warm. She was under the impression that Hadley was hated by most of the female officers in the GCPD and most of the female population out of the GCPD. She knew a friend of hers, Jenna, hated Hadley so much that she'd complained to the Commissioner about him... Dylan still hadn't asked why Jenna had been near the Commissioner in the first place, though... Well, she could probably ask next time the woman was arrested. It seemed fitting given that they'd first met because of Jenna being arrested...
"We're not the only ones." The orange haired woman stated casually while looking opposite her. "I've got this friend who keeps getting arrested and-" She cut herself off with laughing at how she'd started the sentence. "Not really the best way to start a sentence as a police officer in training, eh?" She asked between laughs before shaking her head to herself. "But my friend, she's met Hadley a load of times and she complained to Jim 'bout him. Apparently, she threatened to hit him if he went near her again..." Dylan told Amelia while looking at the other woman. Turning her head back to look at whatever was opposite, though Dylan wasn't really paying attention, the English woman tightened her arms over her chest. "Reckon if we should do the same thing?" She didn't think they'd actually manage anything from it, though if it meant that Hadley fucking Jones would possibly leave her alone then it was likely worth a shot.
Speaking of shots, Amelia's reply about shooting Hadley made Dylan laugh once more. They were terrible people but karma was probably too busy with the rest of the population to go near the duo of police officers and besides, they weren't actually shooting him at the moment - just talking about it. It wasn't the same and thus karma should leave them alone. Yes. That was logical... Kind of...
"We're terrible women." Dylan joked with a large grin on her features. She really didn't care even if she was genuinely a terrible woman. There were terrible people everywhere and she certainly wasn't the worst... Hopefully. As she was told that complaining to Jim would be a good idea, Dylan nodded along and glanced at Amelia after the question came about as to whether Amelia had been with anyone. This was mildly awkward, or she thought so before a thought occurred to her. "D'you reckon we could get partnered together?" She asked out of nowhere. "I don't know... Fucking men..." She trailed off with a small shrug while trying to get smaller and thus make herself warmer. "D'you think anyone would notice if we just went to one of our houses, watched films and ranted to each other about the menfolk of the world?" She asked with a cheerful grin on her lips again. "My cousin would be great right about now. Three of us could rant away and then she'd start talking about how crappy society is and how the men are the enemies of the world and then we'd probably all get drunk and end up passing out on tables..."
Completely normal night for Dylan's family, that was...
