An unusual thing was happening in Arkham Asylum. Not productivity, no. Music was playing, though. It was currently on Time Warp, from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was travelling down the corridor outside of the offices of the Arkham doctors. It was coming out of one particular office. The door was closed, though the music was loud enough that it carried out of the room anyway...
Sat at his desk, Matthew was dancing subtly to the music in his seat. In his hands was an orange piece of card, which he was cutting out. He was exceptionally happy. October was his favourite month and was the home of his favourite holiday - Hallowe'en - and nothing, not even James sodding Wayne, could ruin his good mood. He finished cutting out the orange card into the rounded shape of a pumpkin before moving to cut out a traditional carving as the music changed to Thriller.
Turning in his seat, putting his legs over one arm of the chair he was in and leaning against the other, Matthew got as comfortable as he could with one arm jammed into his back, while he worked on cutting out the mouth. Even though October had only just started, he'd decided to work on Hallowe'en decorations and his playlist. The playlist needed more songs, admittedly, but it was fine for now and he had the rest of the month to work on it, though anyone who stayed in the corridor for more than twenty minutes could probably get bored of the same four songs on repeat... He wasn't getting bored of them, though, especially as he was mouthing along to the spoken part of Thriller.
Sticking a green bit of card to the back of the pumpkin so that the green stuck out of the top, Matthew pushed his glasses up his nose while concentrating on the somewhat small decoration. He wasn't paying attention to the door at all, thinking of making a paper skeleton at that moment in time before beginning to do so, having to draw out the shapes on paper first. Well, he was being productive, at least. Not with what he was supposed to be doing, but still...
((Notes: little bit short but heck, gets the point across. HECK YEAH HALLOWE'EN!))
