Hailey walked down the street to the small park. She had been coming her a lot recently, and it was helping her adjust, a little. She sighed. She had been with Steve, and she realized how alone she was without him. I am not meant for the 21st century. Can't I just go back to a time I understand? She sighed and kept walking.
She found her tree and leaned against it, wondering what today would bring. These had been the longest two weeks of her life, and she has had a lot of long weeks. She ran her thumb over the emblem on the shoulder of her shirt, the Avengers emblem. |

She was in the mood for some relaxing and well a nice walk was just the thing to do relax her today.She sighed softly as she walked down the streets and saw a park nearby and walked in there to see if there was any interesting animals or people out in this fine weather.she walked a bit more and found a bench near a tree and sat down.
Looking around she saw a lot of the normals out and about, she didn't know if they what she were , if they knew what was hidden beneath her appearance but she was damn well not gonna show it around like a sign. She looked over to a tree and saw a girl sitting by a tree with a look that screamed sadness , she had been there before. she sighed softly and walked over and licked her lips before looking down at the girl. " hey .. why the sad face on such a nice day ?" she asked softly and looked at her more, she wondered if the girl would yell at her or slap her and call her a bitch or freak.

Hailey looked up, and smiled wavily. "Well, I've been asleep for nearly 70 years. What not to be sad about?"She looked forward again, studying a squirrel as it grabbed an acorn and scampered up a tree. She remembered doing that while waiting for the fighting to begin. At least I knew what I was supposed to do back then., She sighed, and glanced up to see the girl's reaction. |

Broden sighed and raised a brow "oh wow... hmm 70 years huh .. must have been some sleep you had " she sighed and smiled before sat down on the ground and licked her lips. " hmm cant be easy then .. well i have met and seen stranger things.. i guess you're not coping well with the world as it is now" she said softly and looked at him and tucked her hair behind her ear." its not the same as it used to be i guess .. it must be weird how people act and dress today " she said softly and licked her lips again.
" so ahm i guess you haven't had tried some of the new cuisine and treats .. Thai food is amazing .. " she licked her lips more and chewed on her bottom-lip more.

She noted her licking and biting her lips frequently. "You have no clue how strange this is to me. And I have seen my fair share of weird, strange, and impossible." She looked over to her, and smiled, trying to disarm her nervousness, it wasn't as if she was going to do anything to her. What's got her on the edge?
She chewed on the inside of her cheek, another thing she used to do while waiting. "So the food is that good?" She smiled up at her, trying to be friendly, but for all she knew she was doing something hostile, she had no clue really. |

"hmm .. makes two of us then .. so how come you're ahm .. still alive . not a lot of people survive sleeping for 70 years... " she asked casually and still didn't know whether this girl was friend or foe. she licked her lips roughly ad looked around before pulling up a cigarillo from her pocket and lit it , inhaling and exhaling the smoke as it felt so good and relaxing.
The girl smiled at her and she felt a bit more at ease now but there was always that little voice in her head saying that even enemies smile before they lash out in attack. " yeah the food is great .. spicy and savory .. there a lot of dishes to try now a days .. so you have someone showing you the ropes on the world today ?"

She smiled, and shrugged a little at the smoking. "Well I survived because I was frozen." She was telling the truth, maybe not the whole truth, but she barely knew this girl. "The only person I know is in the same position I am. He has no clue either." She smiled, and cracked her knuckles, locking her shoulders against the tree, she stood up. "Well the food sounds good." She said in a cool undertone, and smiled, leaning against the tree. |

"hmm .. thats interesting .. frozen .. doesnt sound good " she said softly and licked her lips and sighed softly. " okay .. well .. i dont got any shit to do anyways .. wanna go on a little tour with me and ill tell you what i know ?" she offered with a kind tone. " maybe we can get some thai food . and dont worry im not hitting on you .. well i have been with a women before though .. hmm .okay im rambling now "

She smiled. "That would be nice. She was a little taken aback by the 'hitting on you' comment, not entirely sure what she had meant, then the 'been with a woman before' cleared it up. She smiled strangely. That's not normal, at least it wasn't She smiled through the thought and her face grew puzzled. "I have no clue what Thai is but alright." |

Broden smiled at her and wondered if she found it offensive her comment , that it repulsed her in some way that broden had explored much like many others her age. "sorry .. it must be strange to hear . i ramble sometimes .." she apologized softly and lookd at her.
"hmm thai . thailand ? food from thai .. well i like to call it thai food " she said softly and smiled a bit more.

Broden lead the way with a lazy smile and walked towards a good thai restaurant where she had gone a few times to eat. She never met any people as kind and friendly as Buddhist's ."so just follow me . and i think we need to go shopping for you .. "

She followed her, and frowned. "I hated shopping 70 years ago, I still hate it. Why do I need to go shopping?" She frowned deeper. Maybe I like being outdated...Well I don't but she doesn't know that..
She smirked and followed her into the restraunt. |

"hmm .. im not too big on shopping either but damn we all need clothes . and fresh clothes will let you blend in better if you want too . i mean .. its easier that way " she said softly and looked at the girl again "im Broden by the way . dont remember if i told you my name "
She smiled and bowed gently to the owner of the place and smiled "uhm i will have a number sixteen .. spicy beef curry with rice ..oh and some fresh ginger please " she turned and looked at her newfound companion " what will you have ? ill get the menu for you "

"What does that mean?" She referred to the free love comment. She smiled and copied the bow.
"Oh no thank you. I don't need a menu, I'll have what she is having."
She looked at her new friend.
"I'm Hailey."
She smiled and held out her hand, people used to shake hands all the time, she didn't know if they still did, but oh well. |
