Alan Scott Junior took off into the skies as The Green Lantern after he came home from the GBS. Now all Alan wanted to do was let go and be the hero that he was made to be ever since AJ was born. He was in his first year as The Green Lantern and learned some valuable lessons in his new line of being a hero. But would AJ give back the ring just because it’s hard? Hell no and why should he? The man was a fighter just like his dad and sister Jade. They inspired him to be a good person and here he is, The Green Lantern for his section on Earth, number two to Hal Jordan, who is number one but that did not bother him.
AJ arrived in the city of New York as he found a restaurant he loved, Red Robin, but the place was starting to get taken over by thugs. Why does this happen when AJ goes out to eat? All he wanted to do was grab a bite and relax, not minding the attention and signing autographs for the people. AJ stopped and lands in front of the restaurant as his green ring started to light up. “Easy now buddy, were not even inside yet”, AJ told the ring as The Green Lantern started to go inside. The quicker he put it away, the quicker he can sit down, have some good food and enjoy the rest of the day. |

Hailey Wayne had taken the night to herself. She was sitting inside the Red Robin, hoping no one would notice her after layering on the make up. She did not want to be recognized as she was here. She just wanted the night to herself. So, here she was, a bonzi burger in front of her, a side of never ending garlic fries. She could stay here all night. It was quite lovely really.
She smiled a bit more, looking at everything around her, then at the glass of rootbeer in her hand as she lifted it to her lips for a drink. The cool sweet liquid she loved. She had always loved rootbeer. She leaned back in her chair, enjoying the quite for a moment...

Once AJ saw the thugs, he cleared his voice as they started to turn around, and the numbers game didn’t really matter at this point. “Hey! That’s the Green Lantern!”m said one of them. “But wait? Is it Hal Jordan?”, another one of them asked and AJ sighed, shaking his head. Why did some people think that he is Hal Jordan? He didn’t even look like him and besides, AJ is much hotter and handsome than Hal Jordan ever could be. (Eat your heart out Jordan). “It’s doesn’t matter they are all the same. How about we take him out guys?”, he asked them as they all had the same idea, nodding their heads with nasty smirks on their faces.
“Attacking me with what guys? Guns? Knives? I mean seriously all you do is-” , suddenly a shot fired as the Green Lantern quickly formed a shield with the ring. He then looked at the thugs, and noticed the last guy who talked had that nasty grin on his face still. “Alright, you guys want to play it rough, go right ahead! Make my day!”, he said to the thugs and AJ was not in a good mood to play. They wanted to play dirty then they will get it but AJ would not kill them. Killing was off the table and he was better than that, except for the dirty Yellow Lanterns. |

Hailey was enjoying another sip of her root-beer when she heard the gun shot. What the hell?[/color] She thought as she stood instantly. It was hot wired into her brain. Protect and Serve. Defend the Weak... She wasn't about to stop that now. She wasn't going to sit back and listen. So, she ran into the fight.
When she saw the Green Lantern - she assumed - She knew this wouldn't be a lonely fight. But where was the fun in just sitting back and watching. Seeing a trashcan, she grabbed the lid. She threw it and it bounced off one of them, hitting him square in the shoulders. "Why don't we split the fight a little bit?" She questioned with a grin, her gray eyes sparkling dangerously in the light.

As AJ continued his fight against these thugs, he saw a woman grab a trashcan and threw it at some of them, and The Green Lantern raised his eyebrow, wondering who she was. There was no time for guessing who this woman was, but she looked quite familiar. It was like she wanted to get into the action, and even though she was just a human, something told AJ that there’s more to this. Her question to the Green Lantern was simple and AJ could see the danger in this woman’s eyes. Who was she still? AJ just looked at her and said, “Alright alright but if you get hurt don’t come crying to me about it, okay?” he said to the woman.
He continued to battle as The Green Lantern formed a giant fist coming from the ring, as it grabbed one thug and threw him onto the ground. The giant hand knocked out some of the other riffles from these thugs but at the same time AJ had to think about something else. Then the idea came to him on what to do next as the green ring formed their own thugs and went after the others who were trying to start up some trouble. “If you can’t be em’, join em", he said to himself as AJ, alongside Hailey continued the fight between them and these thugs. |

Hailey laughed joyously at his comment about coming crying to him. "You don't know who I am do you?" She laughed again, dodging into the fight again. She dodged his hand and moved about, dodging this and that, kicking here, punching there. It was fun. She missed the thrill of a good fight. Bruce didn't let her come with him on patrol, so she leaped at moments like this.
She continued to fight, a knife sliding across her right forearm. She didn't miss a beat as she turned and disarmed the man. Then she took care of it, knocking him out. She had adapted Bruce's rule. She would not kill. Though she had plenty of times before. Plenty of times...

“Uh…maybe…maybe not?”, he asked in response to her question before laughing joyously at him. AJ may have recognized her or seen her from somewhere but his mind couldn’t go to it right now, since he’s tied up. But why was she here? Maybe to grab a bite, eat, and relax just like he wanted to do. Who was she? Some kind of super soldier? Whoever she was, the woman has the biggest set of you know what to go out there, putting her body on the line like that. Maybe she is tougher than she looks but right now, these guys need to be taken care of.
For the thugs who were knocked out, The Green Lantern formed prison cells for each of them, putting some thugs together with others. Once they were put away, then AJ focused on the remaining thugs, like his one who charged right at him but out of the ring came the big first, knocking out the thug. The green lantern thugs that AJ created were rounding up the real thugs who were knocked out, tieing them up and putting them together. Landing on the ground, AJ looked at the woman and smiled. “Well that seems to be last of them”, he said to her. “What is your name?” AJ asked her. |

Hailey had laughed and kept fighting, at one point even kicking a man into one of the Lantern's cells. She laughed thinking about how useful that would have been with the war...It would have been much easier... She smirked and kept fighting until they were all away.
When he spoke to her again, she looked at him. He has asked her name. Did she tell him her maiden name? Her married name? Her hero name? She wasn't sure, so she merely shrugged and looked at him. "Hailey, yours?"

Hailey? Why did she looked so familiar? It’s like he knew her from somewhere but couldn’t place his finger on it.“I’m The Green Lantern but my real name is AJ Scott. My dad is the legendary Green Lantern, so I am his son. I’m not the only Green Lantern, you got Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Garnder and then there’s me, the handsome one of the bunch” he said to Hailey with a smirk on his face. He didn’t mind to show or let others his arrogance but AJ wasn’t completely like that, so AJ just wanted to be known a lot
Then it came to him who she was. “Wait a minute, you’re Hailey…Hailey Wayne right? You were one of the heroes who fought in New York against that alien army right?”, he asked her. AJ knew who Bruce Wayne was, the billionaire, the play boy of Gotham City, someone that AJ could not stand from time to time.. But he could never forget that day when he and the other Lanterns on Earth took part to take down an Asguardian god and his army of whatever they were called. Hailey may not have seen it but AJ remembers it very well. |

Hailey smirked at his arrogance. She couldn't believe it. Though he was quite good looking. Her gray eyes sparkled as she let out a laugh. "I'll give you the good looking part." She said easily, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked at him. She smirked and leaned back against the wall, putting a hand on the slash from a knife in her arm. She hardly winced as her hand clamped down over it.
She looked at him. "Alan Scott Jr?" She nodded and held out her hand. She saw her blood on it and smirked, wiping it on the leg of her jeans. She then offered her hand again. "Hailey Wayne, previously Heart and yeah. I was there. I was also Mistress Liberty." She nodded her head in a small nod of curtsy.

“I see. And you are married that guy called Bruce Wayne right?” he asked her. “To be honest, you are way too good for him in my view Hailey, you deserve someone else. I mean I am not saying I am the guy for you but that’s just me”, AJ told her honestly. He wasn’t trying to hit on Hailey or flirt with her and besides he’s too young to be with someone, an old timer like Hailey. How old was she? In her 90’s or something like that? AJ wasn’t even for a relationship yet but at least he liked some of the female heroes like The Huntress, who were attractive enough.
His stomach started to growl, taking him off of his focus, getting him distracted but reminded him why he was here. “How about we go inside and grab a bite to eat? It’s on me”, he told her. That fight with those thugs almost made him forget why he was here at Red Robin. All he wanted was to just sit down, relax and eat instead of fighting but today wasn’t almost like that. |

Hailey snorted. "Yeah, I'll get right on telling the man that I'm married to that I'm too good for him." She rolled her eyes and leaned on the door again. She smirked very faintly at everything he was saying, but what else could she do? Not much.
She nodded. "The food I was eating is probably cold right now." She smirked at him and nodded to the door. Her blond hair bounced a little bit. "After you pretty boy." She chided with a grin.

[blockqoute]The Green Lantern stepped right into the restaurant receiving applauds and cheers from the people who came to Red Robins today. AJ laughed before he held up his hands and speaking. “Hey don’t thank me guys, thank the woman over there for helping me! You know who she is!”, he said to everyone as some children ran up to The Green Lantern and asked if they could have his autograph. AJ smiled and told them it was okay as AJ took out a lantern pen, signing the autographs before taking some pictures. This is what happens when you save the day, you get received with warm welcomes.
AJ saw some other people in the restaurant who gave him some mean looks for some reason, and some dirty looks too. Of course, The Green Lantern himself had haters of his own, but he wasn’t the only one. There’s other heroes that people did not trust and to be honest, they had every right not to trust them. It would be a waste of time proving people how super heroes are good for the community because there’s a section of people who did not believe them. Once that was over, AJ was ready to get some food and fill his belly in, no matter what it is.[/blockquote]

Hailey rolled her eyes and walked past the crowds. She had always hated the attention. Ironic considering who she had married - but she always hated it. She went to her table and took a seat, inspecting her arm. It wasn't in good condition, but it wasn't spewing blood either. She sighed and took her napkin, wrapping it tightly around her arm. Her blond hair and the rest of her body broadcasted her age as in her early twenties - which was true as when she was frozen, her aging completely stopped - until she was unfrozen again of course.
She asked for a new meal order as hers was as cold as ice now - metaphorically. She yawned as she leaned back, grabbing her root-beer and taking a long swallow. Oh how she loved root-beer. It was her favorite drink of all times.

He saw where Hailey sat at and joined her, as AJ took a seat and sighed, before he started to ask for a new order at Red Robin. “Get me a Riblets and Mac n Cheese please, along with a root beer please. As a matter of fact, give me your best food, it doesn‘t matter what it is”, he told the waiter as the waiter went to the back, Telling the chefs what AJ wanted. AJ loved food like Riblets and Mac n Cheese , or Clucks and Shrimp, the possibilities are endless. But AJ keeps himself in good shape everyday before he goes to work or saves the world.
Looking at Hailey, AH started to speak. “So tell me, what’s it like being with a guy like Bruce Wayne?”, he asked her. AJ had no problem with the guy, it’s just that when he’s Batman, he’s a complete jerk and a but head. AJ met Batman a couple of times and The Green Lantern respected his line of work but Batman should never work alone at all. AJ heard of Batman in the Justice League alongside Superman and other well known heroes, so at least he wasn’t alone. The waiter came back with his root beer as AJ took a sip or root beer. |
